In this brochure you will find the deadlines for granting programs serving various arts communities, artistic practices and disciplines. Program information and eligibility criteria are available online at www.arts.on.ca. New this year: Many deadline dates and program names have changed in OAC’s Francophone arts programs. For the next four years, OAC is introducing the New Ventures Fund to support innovative projects and initiatives and enhance diverse and inclusive public engagement in the arts. The Indigenous Artists in Communities Projects and Indigenous Artists in Schools Projects programs have merged and become the Indigenous Artists in Communities and Schools Projects program. Two new market development programs have launched – Market Development Projects and Market Development Travel. The OAC now administers the Indigenous Culture Fund (ICF) on behalf of the Government of Ontario. The fund is made up of three programs – ICF Small Grants, ICF Project Grants for Individuals, Groups and Collectives and ICF Project Grants for Organizations – that support community-based Indigenous community, culture and way of life activities. FUNDING FRAMEWORK The OAC is committed to ensuring equitable access for everyone, with particular emphasis on six priority groups and the organizations that serve them and the public artists of colour, Deaf artists and artists with disabilities, Francophone artists, Indigenous artists, new generation artists (18-30 year olds) and artists living in regions outside Toronto. Some of these priority groups have a unique history, identity and status in Canada, some have faced historical and/or systemic barriers, others reflect OAC’s province-wide mandate and all are essential to the future of the arts sector. Within this context, OAC supports arts activity through four funding streams – creating and presenting, building audiences and markets, engaging communities and schools and developing careers and arts services. 2018 GRANTING PROGRAM DEADLINES CREATING AND PRESENTING NEW VENTURES FUND (new) Sep. 26 CRAFT Craft Projects Oct. 17 Deaf and Disability Arts Projects: Materials for Visual Artists Oct. 11* Exhibition Assistance Applications accepted by recommenders from June 2018 to January 2019. The Ontario Arts Council (OAC) has been supporting professional Ontario-based artists and arts organizations since 1963. In this brochure you will find the deadlines for granting programs serving various arts communities, artistic practices and disciplines. Program information and eligibility criteria are available online at www.arts.on.ca.

New this year: • Many deadline dates and program names have changed in OAC’s

Francophone arts programs.

• For the next four years, OAC is introducing the New Ventures Fund to support innovative projects and initiatives and enhance diverse and inclusive public engagement in the arts.

• The Indigenous Artists in Communities Projects and Indigenous Artists in Schools Projects programs have merged and become the Indigenous Artists in Communities and Schools Projects program.

• Two new market development programs have launched – Market Development Projects and Market Development Travel.

• The OAC now administers the Indigenous Culture Fund (ICF) on behalf of the Government of Ontario. The fund is made up of three programs – ICF Small Grants, ICF Project Grants for Individuals, Groups and Collectives and ICF Project Grants for Organizations – that support community-based Indigenous community, culture and way of life activities.

FUNDING FRAMEWORKThe OAC is committed to ensuring equitable access for everyone, with particular emphasis on six priority groups and the organizations that serve them and the public – artists of colour, Deaf artists and artists with disabilities, Francophone artists, Indigenous artists, new generation artists (18-30 year olds) and artists living in regions outside Toronto.
