HOSTED BY:
CONFERENCE SPONSOR:
On behalf of Montana Department of Environmental Quality, welcome to the 2018 Montana Storm Water Conference: Running with Runoff: Sustainable Storm Water Management.
We are very excited to host this conference in Bozeman. Bozeman is one of Montana’s fastest growing communities. We believe the community and surrounding area illustrates why the protection of water quality is so important. I encourage everyone to get out and explore Bozeman and the area.
Our goal for the 2018 Montana Storm Water Conference is to build on our previous successes, create a forum for idea sharing, and provide new networking opportunities by bringing together our state resources and expanding the conference to a regional and national level. This conference covers topics about floodplain and land use planning, funding, public-private partnerships, storm water program management, and case studies on best management practices, including green infrastructure and low impact development.
We encourage you to network with colleagues, catchup with friends, and build
new relationships. Outside of our conference sessions, we are hosting a panel discussion on Tuesday afternoon beginning at 3:55 p.m. The panel discussion is titled: “Changing Perspectives: Turning Requirements into Stories of Success,” and will cover a variety of topics from leading industry professionals. Immediately following the panel, there is a exhibitor reception at the hotel. You will find the industry’s leading companies showcasing technology, services, and products. Wednesday night, please join us at MAP Brewing to unwind, grab a beer, and share your thoughts with each other. Thursday, you can choose between two tours showcasing projects that benefit water quality and make our community stronger. Both tours leave the hotel at 9 a.m.
Thank you for joining us at the 2018 Montana Storm Water Conference. We hope you find the conference insightful and provides forward thinking for the future of water quality.
Sincerely,
Christopher Romankiewicz MT DEQ
