The right depth of your wall unitIf the depth of the wall unit is too much, you will end up banging your head on it every time. Ideally, the depth should not be more than 300 mm, if your countertop is 600 mm.

The right height of your countertopThe countertop should not be too high, or too low. The right height of the countertop is calculated by the distance between the top of the countertop and your elbow, which should be 10-15 cms.

Choose lift-ups over hinged shuttersHinged shutters are tedious when you have to keep opening and closing them. You also end up hitting your head, if left open. Lift-ups move up, and you can leave your cabinet open while cooking.

Choose drawers over cupboardsIt is often difficult to stretch and reach into the back of cupboards, and sometimes painful for your back. Choose full extension drawers to make reaching to the back easy and painless.

Organize your storage by frequency of useSort your contents into items that are often used, sometimes used and rarely used. If you store them at the right level you can say good-bye to stretching and bending.
