The ultimate goal of every student is to settle in life with feathers in his/her cap. We, in Delhi
Technical Campus, sincerely share this concern of our students and endeavour to educate
them with their individual aims and objects.
The Engineers of all disciplines, produced from our college, can compete with their
counterparts from other Institutions. In the modern era of science dominance, our students
have the capabilities to design robots, which can serve the humanity; can construct
magnificent buildings with attractive grandeurs and also can erect latest computers and
technologies with soft designs.
We help our students from Management Department settle in excellent careers with “Sky is
the Limit” opportunities. Our MBA educated students have joined banks and reputed
business organizations.
Likewise, our students from Architecture department get personal care of our renowned
faculty members. Our School of Architecture enjoys its own independent buildings and
facilities, and are students take full advantage.
The overall scenario of our educational centre is student-oriented. Their future is our concern.
On personal level, our faculty members preach and teach them, besides their respective

About The Department
Like other engineering disciplines, the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities too is an
indispensable part of the institute. The Department of Applied Sciences comprises of the various
disciplines i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Mathematics and Humanities. The
Department endeavors to impart fundamental knowledge of these disciplines and prepares the
students for higher study in these areas. The courses are offered at the Under Graduate level. The
Department comprises eight faculty members who are also exceptionally qualified. The department is
headed by Dr. Alka Srivastava with more than 23 years of teaching experience.
As we know, Physics is the mother of all basic sciences and provides a platform for engineering
students to get basic knowledge. Keeping this aim in mind and to maintain an active and congenial
atmosphere for teaching and learning, highly qualified experienced faculty members are engaged to
motivate the students and to inculcate the scientific learning approach. The Department has a well
equipped Applied Physics Lab in which experiments are performed by using the latest equipments.
Another aim of the Department is to familiarize the students with the broad concept of Chemistry and
Green Chemistry to engage them seriously with the environmental issues facing the whole world. The
students comprehensively learn manufacturing, management use, disposal and recycling of the
chemical substances.
Mathematics is the vitally important for all the sciences. Students with sound fundamentals in
mathematics can solve any problem not only in engineering but also in life.
In the Department of Humanities, the students are encouraged to develop knowledge and conceptual
understanding of communication skills. They help students enhance their language skills in oral
communication and technical communication so that they may develop confidence in facing
interviews and group discussions. The Department is in the process of establishing a sound Digital
Language Laboratory.

Humanity leaves immortal echoes through its history in the form of Language, Art and
Architecture. These echoes are not simply to be viewed in retrospect rather this tradition
achieves new forms of beauty in the hands of individuals. Thus, Architecture is a connection with
the immortal past, yet revitalizing it for the new generation. The Architects are the arbiters of our
future history. Whether we consider the monumental structures like Taj Mahal or the modern
icons like Sydney Opera House, each work telling the story of its creation. It is man’s instinct
desire to innovate, decorate, create and materialize the impossible dreams. Architecture is also
a melting pot of various disciplines. When we study Architecture, we also get to study various
fields of human endeavor, including Design, Art, History, Construction, Material Science, Physics
and Engineering.
At Delhi Technical Campus, we provide a promising and futuristic Architecture program. Our
focus is on the emerging trends in architecture like sustainability, conservation, contemporary
architecture, landscaping, city planning and urban design.
IDEOLOGIES
In today’s world, access to information is available to all, but the ability to synthesize and
efficiently use the available information is what distinguishes an expert from the inept.
As an architect, a fresh graduate is expected to be a thorough professional even before receiving
a degree. At the School of Architecture, we emphasize on the student’s ability to be an expert of
tomorrow. Our focus is to help every student discover the ocean of creativity within to provide
innovative solutions to the complex problems.
FACULTY
The Department is empowered with highly experienced and renowned architects, architecture
educators of Delhi NCR along with our specialized young faculty from reputed institutes like SPA

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
MBA is the most sought after degree and an extremely valuable asset to an individual,
organization and nation. It is a radically different field with “action-based learning” where
students are asked to look at real corporate world and the companies, typically in their start-up
phase, rather than being asked to pore over case studies.
Today at the world canvas, many developed nations are grappling with recession and offering
fewer job opportunities. Hence, there appears to be a growing demand for both entrepreneurs
and business leaders who can provide innovative solutions to the world’s intractable problems.
“The world does seem to expect more from business schools than ever before,” adds Dan
LeClair, executive vice- president and chief operating officer of the AACSB. “The buzzword now is
that we need more entrepreneurial activity,” he says. “We train students to think like
entrepreneurs to find solution to problems.” In India, Prime Minister Narender Modi’s initiatives
‘Start-up India & Stand-up India’ have also highlighted the ability of Indian entrepreneurs to
innovate and solve the unique problems that we face in our country.
MBA at a Glance:
As opposed to a traditional degree course, an MBA professional degree offers you a speedy and
fast-tract progress towards a leadership enriched with decision-making and strategic skills.
Moreover, this field is highly profitable and therefore attractive for the other esteemed degree
like engineering, arts and commerce as a value added qualification.
Nowadays, Business schools are breaking out of traditional formats to offer a range of routes in
the form of specializations and areas of interest. As against the ‘one size fits all’, we have some
specially tailored areas to meet the new demands of the workplace. The institute offers
Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, International Business and Information Technology
through its dual specialisation scheme.
MBA Department
At DTC, the MBA Course structure is closely aligned with the contemporary business
requirements. The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) is a two year full time
programme. The first year provides the students a strong analytical foundation in key functional
areas of business and management. This concludes with rigorous summer internship
programme which allows students to explore practical application of the management concepts
learnt through the first year. In the second year, the programme provides a great academic
flexibility to students, and the students are able to decide their specific professional area by
reflecting on their first year’s learning and summer internship experiences.

LE CORBUSIERSeries of Special Lectures
Le Corbusier (1887-1965): The Swiss-French architect’s entry into India completely changed the thinking and the atude of the Indian professional from that point in me. Much of the architecture by Lutyens was eclipsed by his modernist approach of this architect. One of the first to realize how the automobile would change human agglomeraons, Le Corbusier showed how both Man and machine could be accommodated in a city’s form in Chandigarh, his iconic contribuon to India.
Le Corbusier's contribuon to architecture and urban planning regulang the built mass along with the aributes of its response to the seng was so splendid that it immediately started a revoluon of ‘modernist’ buildings in the country.
The Lecture Series dedicates itself to this great architect who not only changed the atudes of the Indian architects and policy makers, but also made an irreversible dent on the minds of the urban Indian.
