DLIP, transitioning to next grade • Registration takes place at the school

❑ Jackson (Spanish), Jefferson (Spanish), and Altadena (French) are schools of residence with attendance boundaries, but their Dual Language Immersion Programs are only available via Open Enrollment-School Choice with “neighborhood preference”

• Fifty percent of projected seats are set aside

for students living in prescribed attendance zones

• Students who qualify go through lottery first for X number of seats

• If more students than seats set aside, student goes through the regular lottery

• Permit school or program must be the #1 choice on the application

• Notifications & Registration • Placement notification will be posted online and mailed

following each of the two lotteries • To affirm placement, complete registration at

school accepted to with all required documents • Seat is forfeited if not registered on time • Once registered—pre-enrolled—no other

applications can be submitted • PUSD considers US Mail not returned to the

District as notification delivered

tax bill in parent/guardian name o IEP (Individualized Education Program) o Assessment if applicable-dual language native speaker o Transcript (APP Academy, middle and high school students)

• Out-of-District Students Welcomed Applications of Interest for Signature Programs April 2-6

• Open Enrollment-School Choice is for Pasadena,

Altadena, Sierra Madre, and portion of San Gabriel (County) residents

• Non-resident students offered enrollment once PUSD students are placed

• Non-residents may also apply for schools with unfilled seats beginning May 7, 2018

• Interdistrict permits based on Board Policy 5117
