MOTORCYCLES
SECTION I: SPORTING REGULATIONS
This document (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Regulations”) has been issued on 1st February
2017. Successive editions can be issued for supplementing and/or amending. The new editions will be called
Additional Supplementary regulations, dated and issued to all relevant Bodies.
Please refer to the respective technical regulations of each category for eligible motorcycles. Any new entry must conform to the philosophy of the category and will be subject to the approval of the Organiser/Promoter. Grading for Class Orange, Silver and Bronze: -
RC 390 RC CUP – ORANGE CLASS
I. Age Restriction: 14 to 22 years old.
II. License:
a. AAM National competition license holder, or
b. International license
RC 390 CUP SILVER CLASS & RC 250/200 CUP - BRONZE CLASS

I. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OF THE VEHICLES COMPETING IN RC 390 CUP - ORANGE CLASS
1. MACHINE SPECIFICATION RC 390 CUP – Orange Class 1.1. This class is open to RC 390 CUP Bikes only as per standard Factory specifications (model year 2015 to
2017).
1.2. Number Plate Sizes and Colours:
a) Sizes:
The sizes for all the front numbers are: Minimum height 160mm
Minimum width 80mm
Minimum stroke 25mm
The sizes for all the side numbers are: Minimum height 120mm
Minimum width 60mm
Minimum stroke 25mm
b) Colours:
The colours for the front and side are: Black Number
Yellow background
1.3. Fuel:
All motorcycles engine must function on normal unleaded fuel.
1.4. Coolants:
The only liquid engine coolants permitted, other than lubricating oil, shall be water or water mixed with
ethyl alcohol.
2. SPECIFIC MODIFICATIONS
All items not mentioned in the following articles must remain as originally produced by the manufacturer
for the homologated machine.
2.1. Frame Body and Rear sub frame
a) No modifications are allowed.
2.2. Front Forks
a) Springs may be replaced.
b) No other modifications are allowed.
2.3. Rear Swing Arm
a) No modifications are allowed.
2.4. Rear Suspension Unit
a) Rear suspension unit spring may be changed.
b) No other modifications are allowed.

2.5. Wheels
a) No modifications are allowed.
2.6. Brakes

2.7. Tyres
a) Only Metzeler Sportec M7RR is permitted. Size: Front 110/70R17 Rear 150/60R17
b) Only 1 set of tyre allowed for each round.
2.8. Foot Rest/Foot Controls
a) No modifications are allowed.
2.9. Handle Bars and Hand Controls
a) No modifications are allowed.
2.10. Fairing/Body Work
a) Race bike stickers with sponsor logos and official cup graphics will be provided by the race
organization and cannot be removed or modified.
b) Additional stickers and logos of personal sponsors may be placed on the rear fairing of the
motorcycle (racing seat).
c) Additional stickers and sponsor´s logos will be allowed ONLY IF they are not clashing against or
competing with the cup´s sponsors.
2.11. Fuel Tank
a) No modifications are allowed.
3. ENGINE AND ITS ACCESSORIES
3.1. Engine Specifications
Engines are showroom stock products. Only of approved engines installed on a production motorcycle
sold to the public.

ACCESSORIES” SET OF RULES IS STRICLTY FORBIDDEN
3.2. Air Box
a) Air box modifications are not allowed
b) The air filter is provided by BMC Air Filters. Other brands not allowed.

3.12. Piston ring, Pins and Clips
a) No modifications allowed.

a) No modifications allowed.
3.14. Crankcase and all the other engine cases (i.e. Ignition Case, Clutch Case)
a) No modification allowed.
3.15. Transmission/Gearbox
a) No modifications allowed.
b) Countershaft sprocket, rear wheel sprocket, can be changed.
3.16. Clutch
a) No modifications are allowed.
3.17. Starter
a) No modifications allowed.
3.18. Exhaust System

4.3. Fuel:

4.4. Coolants:
The only liquid engine coolants permitted, other than lubricating oil, shall be water or water mixed with
ethyl alcohol.
5. SPECIFIC MODIFICATIONS
All items not mentioned in the following articles must remain as originally produced by the manufacturer
for the homologated machine.
5.1. Frame Body and Rear sub frame
The frame and sub frame must be originally produced by the manufacturer. The sides of the frame-
body may be covered by a protective part made of composite material. These products must fit to the
form of the frame.
5.2. Front Forks
a) Only WP suspension replacement is allowed.
b) Springs may be replaced.
c) No other modifications are allowed.
5.3. Rear Swing Arm
a) No modifications are allowed.
b) For safety reasons, it is compulsory a chain guard made with rigid plastic material fitted in such
a way as to prevent trapping between the lower chain run and the final drive sprocket at the rear
wheel.

5.4. Rear Suspension Unit
Only WP suspension replacement is allowed.
Rear suspension units spring may be changed.
No other modifications are allowed.
5.5. Wheels
No modifications are allowed.
5.6. Brakes
Brake discs may be replaced by aftermarket discs which comply with following requirements:
a) Front Brake Disc and Carrier, aftermarket material maybe used however no ceramic types are
allowed.
b) Front disc diameter may be max of 320 mm, rear disc diameter must remain as original
homologated.
c) The number of the brake disc (single or double) must be same as the homologated bike.
d) The thickness of the brake disc may be increased but the disc must fit into the homologated
brake caliper without any modification. The number of floaters is free.
e) The dimensions of the carrier are free.
f) If homologated model has ABS, it may be deactivated.
g) The front and rear master cylinder must remain as originally produced by the manufacturer for
the homologated machine.
h) Front and rear hydraulic brake lines may be changed.
i) Front and rear brake pads may be changed. Brake pad locking pins may be modified for a
quick-change type.
j) The front and rear brake caliper must remain as originally produced by the manufacturer for the
homologated machine.
k) Additional air scoops or ducts are not allowed.
5.7. Tyres
a) Only Metzeler Sportec M7RR is permitted. Size: Front 110/70R17 Rear 150/60R17
b) Only 1 set of tyre allowed for each round.
5.8. Foot Rest/Foot Controls
a) Footrest may be of a folding type but in this case they must be filled with a device which
automatically returns them to the normal position, and an integral protection is to be provided at
the end of the footrest which must have at least 8mm solid spherical radius.
b) Non folding “metallic” footrest must have and end (plug) which is permanently fixed, made of
plastic, Teflon or an equivalent type material (min. diameter 16mm).
5.9. Handle Bars and Hand Controls
a) Handle bars modification are not allowed.
b) Throttle assembly and associated cables may be modified or replaced.
c) Clutch and brake lever may be changed to an aftermarket. An adjuster to the brake lever is
allowed.
d) Throttle twist grips must close automatically when released.
e) Switches can be changed but electric starter switch and engine stop switch must be located on
the handle bars.
f) Quick throttle is allowed.

5.10. Fairing/Body Work
a) Fairing and body work may be replaced with exact cosmetic duplicates of the original parts (or
exact cosmetic duplicates of commercially available KTM PowerParts) , but must appear to be as
originally produced by the manufacturer for the homologated machine, with slight differences due
to the racing use (different places mix, attachment points, fairing bottom, etc.). The material may
be changed. The use of carbon fibre or carbon composite is not allowed.
b) Overall size and dimensions must be the same as the original part.
c) Wind screen edge and edges of all exposed parts of the streamlining must be rounded.
d) The lower fairing has to be an exact cosmetic duplicate of the original commercially available
KTM PowerPart.
e) The lower faring must incorporated at least a hole of 25mm (minimum) diameter in the bottom
front lower area. This hole must remain closed in dry conditions and must be only opened in wet
race conditions as declared by the Clerk of the Course.
f) Wings are not allowed, also if they are an integral part of the fairing or seat. No moving
aerodynamic devises are allowed.
5.11. Fuel Tank
a) No modifications are allowed.
6. ENGINE AND ITS ACCESSORIES
6.1. Engine Specifications
Engines are showroom stock products. Only of approved engines installed on a production motorcycle
sold to the public.

c) MAP: Only Akrapovic mapping is allowed. (With combination of an Akrapovic ONLY).
6.4. Fuel Supply
a) Fuel lines may be replaced. Quick connectors or dry-break quick connectors may be used.
b) Fuel vent lines may be replaced.
c) Fuel filters may be added.
d) NO other than OEM fuel pump is allowed
6.5. Cylinder head
a) No modifications allowed.

a) No modifications allowed.

a) No modifications allowed (including polishing and lightening).
6.9. Oil pumps and oil lines
a) No modifications allowed.

a) No modifications allowed (including polishing and lightening).
6.11. Piston
a) No modifications allowed (including polishing and lightening).
6.12. Piston ring, Pins and Clips
a) No modifications allowed.
6.13. Cylinders
a) No modifications allowed.
6.14. Crankase and all the other engine cases (i.e. Ignition Case, Clutch Case)
a) No modification allowed to the crankcases
b) All engine cases containing oil, which could be in contact with the ground, must be protected by
a second cover made of metallic or composite material (type carbon or Kevlar). Such protective
covers are commercially available as KTM PowerParts.
6.15. Transmission/Gearbox
a) No modifications allowed.
b) Countershaft sprocket, rear wheel sprocket, can be changed.
c) Chain can be changed but pitch and size must remain the same as original.
6.16. Clutch
a) No modifications are allowed.
b) Only friction and drive discs may be changed, but their number must remain as original
c) Clutch springs may be changed.
6.17. Starter
a) No modifications allowed.
6.18. Exhaust System
a) Exhaust pipes and silencer can be changed or modified
b) The noise limit is 102 db/A with a tolerance of +3db/A at the final verification. The location of
the silencer is free.
c) Wrapping of the exhaust system is not allowed.
d) Titanium and carbon exhaust and silencer are allowed.
e) For safety reasons the exposed edge(s) of the exhaust pipe(s) outlet must be rounded to avoid
any sharp edges.

2. COMPULSORY SPONSORS All motorcycles must display stickers of the CUP sponsors. Stickers will be provided by the organization during scrutineering or upon request.
