Red Room poetry obJect 2017 shortlist

Carved hieroglyphs, obsidian arrow tips and nomadic secret-keepers were just some of the curious objects to surface in Red Room Poetry Object 2017.

Connecting 190 school communities across Australia and New Zealand, students and teachers from Jabiru to Launceston created and published a staggering 3412 poems. After careful consideration, we’re thrilled to announce the Poetry Object 2017 shortlist. We look forward to hearing how you celebrate your poets and thank you all for letting us share the inner worlds of your cherished objects. Here’s to continuing the poetic journey with you. Yours in poetry,The Red Room team
