OUR HISTORY

Integrity Academy (Pty) Ltd was founded by Johann Cloete, CF P ® in June 2013.

His credentials:-

Johann has over 37 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, of which 11 years were spent as aFinancial Advisor, with a client practice of 350+, and during that period, achieved 9 IQA awards. In 1990 he was appointed as Training Manager at Sanlam Financial Academy, which was followed by being appointed as Training Account Manager: Broker Services Training in 2007.

In 2008 PSG approached Johann to establish PSG Academy as a Private Higher Education Institution. It was during this period that he developed the Higher Certicate in Wealth Management: NQF 5 and the Advanced Certicate in Financial Planning, NQF 6. During this same period, he completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning: NQF 8. Johann is also a qualied OD-ETD Practitioner, Assessor and Moderator.

The combination of sales and academic skills acquired over the 37 years enabled him to successfully develop various learning interventions and qualications for the Financial Service Industry. He not only worked as an advisor, but also served as a Facilitator to Financial Planners, Brokers, Broker Consultants, and those in Management. His wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience, has enabled him to design and create purposedmaterial, thus enabling the individual in the Financial Services Industry the opportunity to excel in their career.

His vision is that of empowering the Financial Services Industry through education.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT & TRAININGDELIVERY METHODS

Study GuideEvery single educational module on the curriculum has an accompanying learner guide/workbook, which includes prescribed reading, practical

assignments, assessments activities and tutorial letters. In addition, textbooks are also prescribed to supplement the reading.

Integrity Academy personnel are experienced in the delivery and management of education programmes. As leading educationalist we have

staff appointed in the various tuition hubs to provide telephonic and email support to students.

AccessibilityStringent and inexible study structures severely prejudice a balanced education, which makes Integrity Academy’s distance learning support

mode of delivery the ideal alternative for undergraduate studies. We offer you facilitated work sessions to support you in your studies.

Online learning also means that there is as little disruption to personal life and full-time work schedule. Based on completing modules and

assignments in your own time, the Integrity Academy programme required no daily or weekly commitments and accommodates a career

of extensive travel, extended working hours, or simply a balanced social and working life.

Student Financial AidWe do not provide bursaries, but you can apply through mobicred for a student loan. A student can apply for bursary options at their place of

employment to fundtheir studies either through a once off payment.

WorkshopsWorkshops are held at various venues to support students in their studies. The workshop includes orientation, academic support & requirements,

group work, tutor presentations and assignment focus. During workshops, students have the opportunity to discuss key themes and perspectives

in their study units/modules.

Guidelines are also given to produce good quality assignments. Workshops foster interaction between academics and students in a supportive

learning environment. The interactive nature of the workshops allows students to discuss relevant issues on a one-to-one basis, and to

seek clarity on important foundational concepts of the programme.

Cancellation and RefundsIn case of a cancellation after registration, a 50% cancellation fee will apply:

A 100% cancellation fee (thus no refund) will apply for all cancellations within at least 5 working days prior to the workshop;

Cancellation must be done in writing (email), at least 5 working days before the workshop;

No refunds will be applicable after 6 months of registration;

No refunds will be applicable after you have received your material;

Approved substitutes (candidates complying with the qualication access requirements) are welcome at no extra charge, as long as all

required documentation reach us 5 working days prior to when the workshop takes place.

OUR TRAINING DELIVERY METHODS

We have two Training Delivery Methods Recent developments in online courses offer large-scale interactive participation and open access through the world wide web or other network technologies. A number of other terms (distributed learning, e-learning, online learning, etc.) are used roughly synonymously with distance education.

Our programmes will all be available on an electronic e-learning platform, which makes it available to any person with access to the internet. This creates accessibility across South Africa and abroad.

1. Online Learning

Learner support and interaction will be via tutors online and in the form of webinars, discussions or chat groups.

Learning materials will be made available on the Learning Management System (LMS).

The Summative Assessment must be completed at our examination centres nationally (paper based).

Time lines will be adapted for each individual learner.

2. Facilitated LearningClassroom training will be arranged (for 15 students or more)

Learning material must be brought to classroom training sessions.

During training the learning material will be discussed and candidates will start with the completion of the Portfolio of Evidence (POE)

This can be uploaded on our Learning Management System or alternatively couriered to our ofces at your own cost.

The summative assessments will be done in one of our examination centres nationally.

ASSESSMENT, ACADEMIC CREDIT ACCUMULATION,PROGRESSION & QUALIFICATION.

Online AssessmentThe online assessment comprises of multiple choice questions which must be answered by a student online.

The online assessment will be a once-off opportunity and counts towards the Formative Assessment mark.

This has to be completed within two weeks before attending the workshops or loading your documents on our LMS system.

Summative AssessmentThe Summative Assessments (exam) will take place on the assessment day as scheduled by the Integrity Academy Coordinator.

Note that the following is applicable to this assessment:

Closed Book Exam;

Only blue or black ink allowed;

No correction uid;

Calculators permitted (HP10Bii is the prescribed Financial calculator);

Exam duration normally: 3 hours (but dependent on the Qualication and NQF Level);

Seats must be taken by 08:30 for administration procedures to commence.

A student will be found competent if he/she obtains a minimum mark of 50% for each of his summative and formative assessments respectively.

A sub-minimum of 40% per unit standard on the summative assessment applies to certain of our INSETA qualications.

The summative assessment comprises of the written exam and the formative assessment comprises of the online assessment, workbook and

assignment combined.

Re-Assessment/RemedialA student will only be allowed 2 re-assessments (after one free assessment - result dependant) for both the summative and/or formative

assessment. Should a student not pass his/her second re-assessment (Summative & Formative Assessment), he/she will not be allowed to continue.

After approval a student will need to re-register for the Skills Programme and pay in full to re-start the workshop.

Academic Credit Accumulation And ProgressionYour results will be made available in the form of a Statement of Results sent to you via e-mail only.

All results are subject to internal moderation and external verication to ensure quality.

QualificationCerticates will be issued only after the full qualication has been successfully completed. Thus, all the relevant Skills Programmes needs to be

completed. No certicate will be sent via courier or post. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to collect or arrange an alternative.

OUR GENERAL POLLICIES

Copyright Restrictions It is illegal to photocopy entire books, journals or assignment/ research reports;

Copyright infringement is interpreted as theft;

In Integrity Academy’s view it is not only illegal (and punishable) it’s morally unacceptable. We will debar students if found guilty.

Use of Laptops/I-Pads Should student’s wish to bring their own laptops onto the campus, they will need to provide their own adaptors and extension cords.

Personal computers may not be used during examinations. Integrity Academy will take no responsibility for any losses.

Smoking area/ No smoking Please note that no smoking will be allowed in the ofce/receiption area/ lecture rooms. You are only allowed to smoke in designated areas as

per legislation.

Cellular Phones Please ensure that cellular phones are turned off or on silent during lectures.

Emergency Procedures There will be re drills from time to time. Your full cooperation is requested should the alarm be given. Please proceed to the designated area of safety in an orderly manner.

First aid facilities are available on the premises. Various members of staff are trained as First Aid personnel. Please note that medication will not be dispensed due to allergies or side effects.

Security Issues Integrity Academy does not have any security personnel in the ofce or lecture rooms. Please keep your valuables, personal possessions

(i.e handbags, cell phones, wallets, personal computers, etc.) on you at all times. We will not take any responsibility for loss of property while

you are on our premises.

HOW TO GET STARTED WITH INTEGRITY ACADEMY

Requirements Applicants are required to submit the following online when applying for the Integrity Academy programmes:

Application and Enrolment To enrol for any of the qualications on offer, you will need to register on the Integrity Academy website.

Type in the following link: https://integrityacademy.co.za. Follow the below mentioned 4 steps:

STEP 1: Navigate to the Qualication/Workshop

STEP 2: Add to cart/ Proceed to checkout

Registration process:

1. Click Add to cart. 2. Proceed to checkout by Clicking the “proceed to checkout” button found on the pop-up menu or at the top of the screen.

STEP 3: Checkout Process

1. If you have an account click “Login” if you do not, please complete the registration form and click “Register”. 2. Accept Terms and Conditions.

Select Method of Payment.

If you have a voucher code click add. (No Voucher is needed for FREE items, if you only have FREE items in your cart, the “Payment options” will not be displayed).

Click Next.

Click Finish.

If you selected EFT you will receive Integrity Academy’s Banking details, you can then proceed to make payment via EFT.

manually once payment reects on our system.)

Thus “Credit Card/InstantEFT” will give you instant access, where as “EFT” could take up to a day before you have access to

the Qualication/Workshop.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS & PROCEDURES

The F ETC Qualifications This qualication is suitable for learners who have schooling at/or below NQF 4 (grade 12 certicate).

Our programmes are aimed at learners with less than 4 years experience, newcomers to the industry, or those who have lots of experience,

but would like to brush up on their product knowledge.

National Certificate: Wealth Management Learners need to have successfully completed their grade 12 certicate or equivalent qualication.

RP L (Recognition of Prior Learning) The assessment of current competence/recognition of prior learning (RPL) Integrity Academy (Pty) Ltd has procedures for assessing and

recognising prior learning. This includes procedures for the selection of potential RPL candidates, personnel and structures to support

them through the RPL process.

The RPL process involves the identication, documentation, assessment, evaluation and transcription of prior learning against specied

learning outcomes, so that such learning can articulate with admissions requirements to target programmes and be recognised for entry,

exemption or accreditation purposes.

The assessment instruments developed for RPL are designed and implemented in accordance with Integrity Academy (Pty) Ltd policies on fair

and transparent assessment.

RP L for Higher Education Qualifications If you have done any industry-related subjects and think that you might get exemption for this, please contact us.

An analysis will only be done on relevant industry-related qualications obtained within the past two years.

Subject to approval by Academic Manager: Integrity Academy

RP L for Further Education Qualifications An analysis will be done on credits obtained towards approved Further Education Qualications at NQF Level 4 & 5.

Mapping will be done to determine if the correct “Core”, “Fundamental” and ”Elective” unit standards were obtained to adhere to the qualication requirements.

A student specic learning programme will be evaluated to address the unit standards required for the full qualication.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read through the Terms and conditions applicable to the qualication you wish to complete. NOTE: The following prices are inclusive of VAT.

1. Fees 1.1. Distance Learning: Fees are based on a per product basis and subject to change without prior notice. 1.2. Prescribed Textbook: Fundamentals of Financial Planning. Available from Lexis Nexis, order forms will be made available to students to order the e-book or the hard copy directly from Lexis Nexis. Integrity Academy does not take any responsibility for these transactions.

2. Additional Fees 2.1. Re-assessments: 2.1.1. Summative re-assessments (closed book exam) 2.1.1.1. A fee of R500.00 will be levied for every summative re-assessment. 2.1.1.2. Limited to 2 (two) summative re-assessments per skills programme and failing to PASS, you will have to re-register and pay for the skills programme again.

For EXAMPLE: 1st Summative assessment = 1 attempt. 2nd Summative assessment (Re-assessment 1) = 2nd attempt. 3rd Summative assessment (Re-assessment 2) = 3rd and FINAL attempt.

2.1.1.3. A re-write for a summative assessment passed, is available for a fee of R500.00 per summative assessment. Note: You will only have one opportunity to re-write for a higher mark. The second attempt will count towards the nal mark.

2.1.2 Formative re-assessement 2.1.2.1.Online Assessment: Once-off oppotunity - one ofcial opportunity contributing towards the nal formative assessment mark. 2.1.2.2. Mock Assessment: TWO free mock-assessments available - not compulsory. 2.1.2.3. Unit standard workbook per skills programme: A fee of R500.00 will be levied for every time a skill programme is re-assessed. Limited to 2(two) re-assessments per skills programme and failing to PASS you will have to re-register and pay for the skills programme again.

For Example: 1st Case Study = 1 Attempt. 2nd Case Study (Re-assessment 1) = 2nd attempt. 3rd Case Study (Re-assessment 2) = 3rd and FINAL attempt.

2.2 Re- mark You will be referred to the Integrity Academy Appeals Procedure. A re-mark will only be granted if a learner achieved between 47% and 49%. 2.2.1. R500.00 per summative assessment 2.2.2. R550.00 per Case Study 2.2.3. No remark fees will be refunded. 2.2.4. If you already attempted a re-assessment on a specic paper, this would mean that you have accepted the 1st paper’s result and a re-mark will not be granted. Note that you will have 30 days to appeal a result on a case or summative assessment from the day the result is released. Should you not appeal in this time frame you will need to do a re-assessment on the paper. 2.3. Oral Assessment 2.3.1. R2500.00 per oral assessment on the summative only (only available to people with reading and writing disabilities, medical certicate required).

2.4.Non- attendance R800.00 per workshop/assessment - refer to nr. 5 below for detail on non-attendance. 2.5. Non-submission of formative R600.00 per formative assessment not submitted.

3. Payments

3.2. The nance department will send a pro forma invoice and approve the online registration as soon as payment is received. 3.3. Payment must be done within 1 (one) business day after registration is completed, per Skills Programme. 3.4. Ensure to use your pro forma invoice number as reference when making the payment. 3.5. Proof of payment must be submitted to the nancial department, after receiving the pro forma invoice, and at least 1 (one) working day prior to a workshop, and/or assessment date. Note that no study material and/or results will be released before proof of payment is received. 3.6. If payment is overdue for more than 30 calender days, a deferred fee of R1000.00 will be levied for every 30 days outstanding.

4. Cancellation & Refunds 4.1. In case of a cancellation after registration, but before material is received or workshop attended, a 50% cancellation fee will apply. 4.2. A 100% cancellation fee (thus no refund) will apply if any material has been received or workshop attended. 4.3. If the full amount for the qualication has been paid, and the student drops out mid-qualication (after attending at least 1 (one) Skills Programme) without a valid reason, we reserve the right not to refund the remainder of the fees. 4.4. Approved substitutes (candidates complying with the qualication access requirements) are welcome at no extra charge, as long as all required documentation reach us 5 (ve) working days prior to when the workshop takes place.

5. Attendance, Submission & Completion 5.1. A student has 6 (six) months to complete each skills programme up to a maximum of 24 (twenty four) months (re-assessment included) to complete the full qualication. 5.2. If unsuccessful, a student will need to re-register and the full qualication fee will be levied again. No negotiations regarding extensions will be entered into. 5.3. If a student is not able to attend an assessment date as scheduled, he/she must provide the coordinator with the reason at least 10 (ten) working days before the scheduled assessment. If this is not done within the scheduled time period, the non-attendance fee mentioned in clause 2.4, will apply. If a student does not attend an assessment for which he/she was scheduled and such a student is absent without a valid reason* or a pardon (refer to clause 5.2), the non-attendance fee will be charged for that assessment (refer to clause 2.4). Due to the fact that the student missed the assessment, the student can write on the re-assessment date or another scheduled assessment date pre-arranged with coordinator. Integrity Academy will not be able to schedule an individual assessment for one student. Note that if the re-assessment date or pre-arranged date is not attended, the non-attendance fee will apply. 5.4. No extensions for submissions or assessment will be granted without a valid reason* or pardon. If a student wished to re-schedule his/her assessment or submission date, they must communicate this to the coordinator within 10 (ten) working days. A fee of R500.00 will be charged for re-scheduling, if a valid reason* is not provided, or pardon is not granted. 5.5. If a student does not submit his/her formative assessment without a valid reason on the date communicated, the student will not be permitted to write the summative assessment and the non-attendance fee will apply. 5.6. Requirements needed in order for a student to be found competent: *A student obtains at least 50% in the summative assessment; AND *A Student obtains at least 50% in the formative assessments; AND Obtained the minimum pass rate of 50% in the summative assessment, workbook and online assessment. 5.7. 6. Plagiarism 6.1. Integrity Academy expects ethical behaviour with regard to the preparation of all formative- and summative assessments submitted for academic evaluation. Students who are found guilty of plagiarism by an assessor and supported by a moderator will forfeit all credits for the assessment(s) concerned. 6.2. In addition, the matter will be referred to: 6.2.1. The student’s employer (direct manager) and the Human Resources representative of the student’s employer, for disciplinary action to be taken 6.2.2. The INSETA/FSB, where applicable. 6.3. When a student is found guilty of copying and/or plagiarism, the moderation and all other costs will be for the student‘s account and the credits/ qualication will not be awarded to the student. 6.4. Plagiarism is considered a serious violation of Integrity Academy regulations and may lead to your suspension from Integrity Academy, without refund. 6.5. A student will be found guilty of plagiarism when he/she extracts information from a book, article, web page or any other information source without acknowledging the source, and/or pretend that it is his/her own work. This does not only apply to cases where you quote verbatim, but also when you present someone else’s work in a somewhat amended (paraphrased) format, or when you use someone’s arguments or ideas without the necessary acknowledgment. You are also guilty of plagiarism if you copy and paste information directly from an electronic source (e.g. website, e-mail message, electronic journal article, or CD ROM), without paraphrasing it or placing it in quotation marks, even if you acknowledge the source. You are not allowed to submit another student’s previous work as your own. You are furthermore not allowed to let anyone copy or use your work with the intention of presenting it as his/her own.

7. Results 7.1. All results, assessed by our assessors, are subject to moderation, or internal audits/ verication. 7.2. A student’s results can therefore be overturned by a moderator/Quality Assurer/ Auditor/ Verier, at any time. 7.3. Integrity Academy will inform a student if any result is overturned, and the student herewith accepts the decision and recommendations of the Moderator/Quality Assurer/ Auditor/Verier.

8. General 8.1. No refreshments will be provided at any workshop. 8.2. Study material, assessments. as well as workshops will only be provided in English. 8.3.All international students will be responsible to: 8.3.1. Arrange and pay for study material collection at the Integrity Academy - Lynnwood Glen Ofce; 8.3.2. Attend the scheduled assessments at the prescribed venue. 8.4. Viewing of summative assessments must be pre-aranged with the results department at least 10(ten) working days in advanced. No amendments to result will be made during the viewing session. If a student would like to submit the summative assessment for a re-mark, clause 2.2 will apply. 8.5. All personal tutorial sessions with a Integrity Academy subject matter expert must be arranged via the Results Department. A fee of R500.00 will be levied per hour. 8.6. Viewing of summative assessment: 8.6.1. A student will be able to view his/her summative assessment if the viewing session is arranged with the Results Department within a reasonable time (see clause 8.4) 8.6.2. The Results Department will formally book a viewing session with the student; 8.6.3. The student may not make any notes during the viewing session; 8.6.4. The student may not make a copy of a summative assessment.

Disclaimer: Integrity Academy will endeavour to prepare the student for the assessment to be completed and submitted. Integrity Academy can therefore not be held responsible if the student fails any assessment. In addition, if a student’s studies are carried over to a New Academic Year, they are automatically bound by the Terms and Conditions applicable to the New year.
