What is the GMAT?The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a globally recognised, comput-er-based, standardised test used by over 6,000 business school programmes (MBA, EMBA, MiM, MFin, PhD, etc) across the world as part of their selection criteria.

What does the GMAT test? The GMAT consists of four sections:

When is the next test date? You can take the GMAT year-round. The test is administered thrice every day, except on public holidays. Candidates need to schedule their test in advance at www.mba.com

How much does it cost? The test fee is US$250.Your score is officially reported only to the schools selected by you. At the time of tak-ing the test, you can select up to 5 schools/programmes to receive your score. You can send the scores to additional schools by paying a fee of US$28 per school. If you need to reschedule the test, then you can get a US$200 refund/credit if you re-schedule at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled date.

What is a good score?Admissions are competitive, and hence you should aim for a high percentile rank. The percentile rank indicates the percentage of tests taken with scores lower than you for the most recent three-year period. Every year, each test taker’s score is updated with the most recent year’s percentiles.“Good” is subjective, and the definition of a “good score” depends on your objective. Most business schools publish average scores of the admitted class. If you are from an over-represented group (e.g. Indian Male Engineer), or if you reside in a region known for higher scores (e.g. Singapore), then you should aim to score commensurately higher than these averages for your target schools.

What will I need on the test day?You will need to present your passport as your identification at the test centre. A na-tional Identity Card, Driving License, Employment Pass, etc would not suffice. You may take some fruit (chocoloate, energy bar, banana, etc) and drink (water, energy drink, etc) to replenish your energy during the breaks. The centre shall allocate you a locker in which you may store these during the test. You will not be allowed to take anything with you into the test room. Expect to leave your keys, phone, MRT pass, pens, pencils, wallet, etc in the locker for the duration of the exam.

What if I don’t score well? You can take the test again, but must wait at least 16 days.At the end of the test, you can preview your unofficial score. If you feel that the score is not per your capability and expectation, you can choose to cancel the test record. This will remove the test from your reported record. Cancellation is possible for free before leaving the test centre, or for a US$25 fee from your mba.com account within 72 hours following the test. If you change your mind after cancelling the test, you can reinstate your test record within 4 years, 11 months of the test date for a fee of US$50.

The GMAT.edu.sg differenceGMAT.edu.sg focuses exclusively on preparing students for the GMAT. • Unparalleled track-record. • Asia’s finest GMAT coaching team - Our course designers and tutors have scored in

excess of 700 on the GMAT, and are passionate about helping candidates achieve their target scores.

• Unlimited access to group classes - You can afford to miss classes and make-up for them, at no additional cost, with another group. You can also attend any class multiple times to ensure your understanding of the fundamentals is solid.

• Unmatched flexibility – Individual sessions are completely customisable in duration, scheduling, and content.

• No-fuss refund guarantee*: You are entitled to a no-questions-asked refund of your balance individual sessions at any time. Refunds are processed within 5 – 7 working days, and you are shown the calculation immediately.

Group concept classesQuantitative and Verbal Concept Classes happen every weekend:• Saturday morning (9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.)• Saturday afternoon (2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.)• Sunday morning (9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.)• Sunday afternoon (2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.)AWA and IR Concept Classes happen every alternate weekend:• Sunday evening (7 p.m. to 10 p.m.)

Group MasterClassesMasterClasses, sessions in which we present and solve difficult (above 700-level) ques-tions, take place every Monday or Thursday after work, from 7 to 10 p.m. It’s a new set of questions every week, and MasterClasses are unlimited too, so the earlier you register, the more you benefit!

Individual classesIndividual classes are completely customisable. You decide how many sessions you want, how long each session should be, how frequently you would like to have sessions, when you want the sessions, and what topics you want to cover in each session. Ses-sions can be as short as 1 hour, or as long as 9 hours – we charge by the hour.Don’t worry if you have no idea what you’d like; if you prefer, we can come up with a customised plan suitable for you. Individual sessions are great for focusing on areas in which you are particularly weak.

How to use the hybrid packageThe hybrid course is usually utilised in one of two ways:• Some students attend the group classes for concepts and practice, and then schedule

their discounted individual sessions to get individual help on their weaknesses.• Others prefer to utilise their discounted individual sessions first to tackle concepts at

which they are very weak or to which they have no exposure. Once they have a good foundation and feel ready, they join the group course.

It has been a long time since I saw the inside of a class. How much self-study should I do before starting with you?We prefer that you come to us “raw”. Practice makes perfect, and if you do practice without guidance, you might become perfect in making some mistakes! There is a lot of incorrect and contradictory information, and bad materials out there. If you pick up and internalize bad habits, then we’ll have to first work on helping you unlearn those, before starting to make meaningful progress. Hence we prefer that you come to us as early as possible in the process.

When does your next group course start? This Saturday! We start new GMAT group courses every weekend.

What happens if I miss a group course session? We start new GMAT group courses every Saturday, so you have the opportunity to at-tend a “make-up” class with another group at no additional charge. We recommend that students do their best to attend each class but we also do understand that GMAT test takers have a number of other responsibilities and will thus do our best to accom-modate your unique circumstances. We’re different. When you register for a group course, you get unlimited access to all our group classes, in all our groups. It’s less of a purchase and more of an unlimited membership. Attend the same class as many times as you need to grasp the concepts completely! If you tell us your restrictions (e.g. “I can only come on Sun mornings” OR “I need to finish in two months” OR “I want to have a class once a month for the next 1 year”), we will come up with a personalized timetable for you.

Will you cover all the question types I find difficult?Of course! Our course designers come from various academic backgrounds - business, law, physics, mathematics - and have formulated specific frameworks to help you anal-yse, understand, and answer all the GMAT question types. Hence, regardless of your background, this course has the right ingredients to help you overcome your weak-nesses and ace the test.

Why are you good value for money?GMAT.edu.sg’s methodology is about understanding, addressing, and practicing ALL the components necessary for a 700+ GMAT score. These include strategy, focus, time management, answering skills, and of course, confidence. Question practice alone may get you a relatively good score - but for a really high score that would put you well above the average of any b-school, one must address all the elements that make up a high scoring GMAT. GMAT.edu.sg not only offers you the chance to put in the hours of practice (via our online test zone), but also walks you through all the other elements you need to master in order to be confident of a high GMAT score.

I am busy, how will GMAT Zone maximize my preparation time? You will have to juggle work and personal commitments with an intensive period of studying for the GMAT. Therefore we do not offer a course that judges its worth in classroom time. We are firm believers of maximizing one’s time and studying smart. Unlimited access to all our group classes and masterclasses will help you maximize your preparation time.

How much work must I do on my own?In order for you to get a 700+ score, we need you to work - but we prefer that you work smart. There will be work for you to do at home (online) with the specific purpose of get-ting you used to the concepts and techniques we cover. Challenging online simulation (preferably under time pressure) is what you need - and this is what we have planned for you.

Work is hectic, so can I come on the weekend?Yes! Most of our clients are working professionals. Hence, our group classes are sched-uled on Saturdays and Sundays. Individual classes are completely customizable and can be scheduled for any day of the week. We are open 7 days a week (yes, we are open on all weekends and public holidays) from 9am to 10pm.

Can you help me with the business school applications? Our sister brand Admissions.SG offers comprehensive application consulting services, which are unmatched in the region. They handhold you from profile evaluation and schools shortlisting to essay editing and interview coaching. We'll be happy to schedule a free, no-obligation 45-minutes consultation session with you.

See what our students have to say about our trainers

Ming Wei, 730Prep Zone trainers were very thorough in covering all facets of verbal and after a while, I came to realise that there was a pattern to the way the GMAT asked their questions. This gave me a lot of confidence going into the test and sometimes, that's all you need.

Prep Zone trainers also gave me '700' level questions when they found out that I was aiming for a high score. While they were focussing on the tough questions, they did not forget to ensure I knew the basics as well. I was taught many tricks and shortcuts and this definitely saved me much time during the test.

It was truly a joy learning from the trainers above and I most definitely do not regret enrolling with Prep Zone.

Alex, 710Thanks to your excellent course programme as well as your patient and friend-ly team of excellent GMAT trainers who have prepared me well and gave me the confidence to tackle GMAT head on over the past 4 months, I have successfully enrolled into the Master program of my choice. For those out there looking for help to prepare for your GMAT, look no further than Prep Zone!

Jason, 770The GMAT course was time-efficient, to the point, and extremely effective. Just two weeks of working with your unique GMAT material snagged me a 770. The extremely flexible schedule was absolutely perfect for busy and time-stretched applicants.

Hanny, 770The trainers painstakingly explained each and every question I had difficulty with. At the end of the course, my Verbal score increased from the 96th to the 99th percentile, and my Quant score from the 69th to the 77th percentile in six hours!

Eric, 720The GMAT is designed to be taken in a strict, methodical approach; on this point, Prep Zone does a fantastic job in equipping a candidate with the right strategies to approach each section.

Simon, 730Appreciate the various resources provided by Prep Zone, from the regular Mas-ter Classes to the practice exams to the one-to-one tutorial sessions.
