Welcome back to an ecumenical
movement at Prairie View A&M University.
A place that is affectionately called the “Hill.”
I am humbled to serve this great Ministers’
Conference for more than twenty-two years.
God has continued to pave the way for new and innovative ways to
grow and implement new ministries on the campus of Prairie View
A&M University. I am still excited to extend the invitation to you to
build a stronger ecumenical body of faith.
It is with great anticipation that we are waiting for your arrival on the
campus to experience another outstanding bond of fellowship and
theological growth. Our speakers this year are scholastic in their area
of preaching, teaching and theological reflection. We are looking
forward in making your visit one that will be theologically refreshing,
empowering your gift of preaching, and quenching your thirst for
deeper insights on spiritual matters and maturity.
Our theme for this 59h Session of the Annual Ministers’ Conference,
“Practical Preaching within a Millennium Culture ” speaks volumes
of the challenges we face in today’s world and global issues in the
Church and Political arenas. As spiritual leaders and preachers of
the twenty-first century, we are called to stay focused to preach God’s
uncompromising Gospel without the demands to conform to views
of a contemporary world. Be encouraged and Preach God’s Word!
It is always my personal honor to express my sincere thanks to those
colleagues in ministry who believed in the dream—the dream that
ignited us to fuel flames of enthusiasm about what’s to come in
campus ministry. Campus ministry is a tool that makes the difference
in the lives of students who come to receive an education of the first
class. Thank God for those ministers who believed in contributing to
a great cause which allows students to fulfill their educational goals.
It is my prayer that God will grant you favor to continue to attend
and support this great conference and see what is in store for years to
come. I look forward to your attendance and participation.
Faithfully yours,
Charles H. Lewter, IV
Dean of Chapel
