Parent/Guardian:
Our philosophy at Cherry Creek High School gives students the freedom to manage their personal and
academic affairs while expecting a high level of responsibility in return. An off campus pass is a privilege
extended to students by their parents and the school that allows them to make choices about their
unstructured time. The student is responsible for ensuring that school attendance, academic performance
and citizenship do not suffer as a result of these choices. The student’s parent or guardian may change the
status of a student’s ability to leave campus or not at any time by contacting the student’s dean. The school
also reserves the right to revoke a student’s off campus privileges as a disciplinary consequence if necessary.
Sincerely,
Kevin Uhlig Assistant Principal
OFF CAMPUS PASS Only students whose parents/guardians have signed the Off Campus Privileges permission form are eligible to
leave campus during the school day.
Students may leave only during their free or unscheduled time.
Students who do not have off campus privileges may not leave campus during the school day.
Those who do leave without permission face disciplinary consequences.
Changes to a student’s off campus privileges may be made by contacting the student’s dean.
When a parent signs the Off-Campus privileges form, he/she releases the school district from accountability for a
student’s action during the time the student is off campus. The signee further releases the School District from any
liability in the event the student should be involved in any type of accident going to or from an off campus
destination. The signee accepts responsibility for student passengers that a son/daughter permits to ride in a
vehicle owned by the parent.
Student Code of Ethics As a Cherry Creek High School Student, I will not lie, cheat, or steal in any of my endeavors;
I will respect school property and the property of others; I will respect the rights and opinions of students, faculty, and members of the community;
I will promote ethical behavior within the school and the community
I have read the above letter regarding off campus privileges for my student and request that my student be permitted to leave campus when not scheduled for classes.
