Thought leaders from Seattle’s global design industry will share their perspectives on the challenges and possible solutions to designing ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) that empowers humans, helps us achieve more and improves our world. Today, we talk about AI only from a technological perspective: What’s powering its functionality? Instead, let’s shift the conversation to how AI changes lives. Viewing AI through a lens that focuses on its impact on humans can highlight what using AI really means to us. This discussion will look at how to keep humans in the loop and in control, the role of design in systems that build themselves and what it takes to build inclusive technology that embraces users of all abilities and access levels.

Human diversity: Can it be leveraged to create meaningful experiences for billions of people? When designing experiences, businesses constantly face this question. Human beings have been at the center of design practices for a long time, yet we have done a poor job of adapting our experiences to their unique needs.
