DianehasbeeninvolvedinsecondlanguageeducationforoverthirtyyearsasaFrenchteacherandlanguagecoordinatorinRichmondSchoolDistrict.ShehasservedontheCASLT,BCATMLandBCLCA,assecretary,vice-presidentandpresident,allwiththefocusonsecondlanguageeducation.
BorninVancouver,shehasaBAinFrench,ateachingcertificate,andaMAinsecondlanguageeducationfromUBC.DianebecamethemodernlanguagecoordinatorforRichmondin1998,supportinglanguageteachersfromK-12bothinFIandotherlanguages,andispresentlytheESLcoordinator.Overtheyears,FrenchImmersiongrewbyover1000studentsinherdistrictandsheoversawtheopeningoftwonewFIschools.
DianeisespeciallyproudofRichmond’sannualparticipationinConcoursd’artoratoirewhichhasbecomeacommunitycelebrationofFI.ShehasbeeninvolvedinCPFsince1998andhasonedaughterwhohasgraduatedfromFIandanotherattendingaFIschoolinRichmond.DianelooksforwardtoconnectingwithparentsacrosstheprovinceandworkingwiththeCPFBC&Yukonboard.

Nowaretiredpublicschooleducator,PattitaughtFrenchimmersionandCoreFrenchprogramsduringher35yearcareerasateacher,languagescoordinator,elementaryprincipalandviceprincipal.
PassionateaboutstudentshavingopportunitiestolearnanduseFrench,PattibecameamemberofCanadianParentsforFrench,withherhusband,in1995whentheirfirstchildbeganFrenchImmersionKindergarten.Sincethen,shehasbeeninvolvedinhelpingwiththeConcoursd’artoratoireforseveralyearsasajudgeand/helper/organizerandherschooldistrictFrenchAdvisoryCouncil(1995-1998).ShehasbeentheKamloopsCPFChaptersecretary(2006-2009)andschoolprincipalrepresentativeforseveralyears.PattihasbeenpartoftheCPFBC&YukonBoardsince2010,BoardPresidentsince2013.PattireceivedherB.Ed.fromUBCandM.A.fromSFU.Patti’sMaster’sresearchanddissertationwasonmentoringbeginningFrenchimmersionteachers.

NoreeniscurrentlytheSecretaryoftheCPFHazeltonChapterandhasbeeninvolvedwithherschool'sCPF/PACsincehergirlsstartedFrenchImmersion8yearsago.MajagaleehlGaliAks,atrilingualschool,has129studentsintotal,60ofwhomareinFI.FrenchImmersioninherlittletownisalwaysatriskofbeingcutsosheispartofadedicatedgroupofparentswhoconstantlygivetheprogramthecareandattentionitneedstosurvive.Shelooksforwardtoconnectingwithallofyou.
CendraBeaton,CPFSooke CendraisaproudmomoftwobeautifulchildreninFrenchImmersion.ShewasborninQuebec,andmovedtoOntarioasachildwhereshelearnedEnglishandbecamebilingual.Cendrapassionatelybelievesinthebenefitsofbilingualismandmakingsurethatfuturegenerationshavetheseopportunities.ShehasbeenaCPFChapterPresidentintheSookeDistrictforfouryearswheresheisaveryactivevolunteer,member,andadvocateforFrenchProgrammingandourkids. CindyDalglish,CPFSurreyCindyDalglishisaMomoftwogirls,oneingrade4andtheotherjuststartingKindergarten-bothintheFrenchImmersionprogramintheSurreySchoolDistrict.WhenshefoundoutaboutthereductioninFrenchImmersionatherdaughter'sschoolshestarteddownthepathofadvocacy.NotonlyforFrenchImmersionbutforallchildreninSurrey.CindyherselfdoesnotspeakFrenchbutwantsherchildrentolearnournation’stwoofficiallanguages,notonlytobroadentheirminds,butalsotoopenupopportunitiesintheirfuture.
