Coordinate expected deliveries with warehouse dock personnel. Safely handle packages, loads, and/or equipment weighing up to 100lbs. Receive incoming property from commercial delivery vendors: UPS, FED EX, etc. and from internal departmental organizations/activities. Prepare incoming shipments of material, furniture, fixtures, and equipment for transfer by personnel to the warehouse. Palletize items and secure with shrink wrap or other means. Log-in all received property and confer with the appropriate Inventory Management Specialist to properly categorize items as consumable materials or accountable property. In accordance with Agency SOPs, transfer consumable materials to segregated storage area. Prepare daily running tally of received materials. Prepare running tally of received materials, reconcile that with bills of lading packing slips or other shipping manifests, report discrepancies to supervisor, and forward running tally of received items, bills of lading, packing slips or other shipping manifests to the inventory clerk. Inspect all incoming and outgoing property for damage. If there is damage, notify the Supervisor, and note damage on the invoice. Ensure all property is properly tagged and in the proper location for storage/delivery. Assist the inventory Clerk by applying barcodes to accountable property, as required Transfer accountable property to segregated storage area Retrieve stored consumable materials and accountable property from storage area, as directed, by the supervisor of inventory clerk. Prepare requested materials for shipment via motor transport services delivery truck to Facilities. Ensure the receiving area remains clear of property. The only property left on the floor in the receiving area is property that is to be loaded for delivery the following day. Maintain inventory control by checking and verifying pull orders against original request documents. Maintain physical security of materials stored in the warehouse by locking down segregated storage areas when not in use for loading or unloading. Check internal and external door locks, as appropriate, on a continual basis. Ensure that the inventory database reflects all changes to the stock level, in accordance with Agency SOPs Place all trash in the dumpster, immediately. Sweep and dust debris, as needed. Maintain responsibility for other functions, as requested, including recycling, trash removal, and simple maintenance tasks.
