2016 RUN! BALLANTYNE 8K, 5K, & 1 MILE FUN RUN CORPORATE TEAM DIVISION May May May May 14 14 14 14, 2016 2016 2016 2016 marks the 12 th year of our race presented by Bissell and the Morrison Family Y and the new Sara’s YMCA. We are excited to offer the Corporate Team division again this year! With over 2,500 runners last year, this popular event continues to grow within the community. Held in the Ballantyne Corporate Park, it's the perfect race for beginning runners to elite runners and every level in between making it fun for the entire company & family! Corporate Teams are a great way to encourage teambuilding and healthy lifestyles within your company. Represent your company by joining your co-workers and competing in the 8k, 5k, Einstein Bros. Bagels 1-mile Fun Run, or volunteering. A minimum of 5 runners is required. No maximum. Having a Corporate Team has many benefits, including: Having a Corporate Team has many benefits, including: Having a Corporate Team has many benefits, including: Having a Corporate Team has many benefits, including: • Marketing exposure –your company name will be included in the Team Division section of the Runner’s Guide (printed for 2,500+ participants) • Teambuilding through training programs and competition to be the winner of your Corporate Team Division. • Philanthropy opportunities through fundraising for the Morrison Family YMCA Community Support programs and volunteering on race day. Teams will be placed into divisions based on the number of company employees in Charlotte. • Division 1: less than 25 Employees • Division 2: 26-99 Employees • Division 3: 100 + Employees 2016 Corporate Team Division Winners will be determined based on the number of total points they earn in the following categories: Participation Award: Participation Award: Participation Award: Participation Award: • 10 points 10 points 10 points 10 points for each participant above the 5 participant minimum in our 8k & 5K Race • 5 points 5 points 5 points 5 points for each participant above the 5 participant minimum in our Einstein Bros. If your company is interested in participating, a TeamTeamTeamTeam CaptainCaptainCaptainCaptainneeds to be selected and will have the followingresponsibilities: (The Team Captain does not have to actually participate
in the race and can simply serve as an ‘organizer’. )
1. Fill out the Corporate Team Captain registration link on our website (deadline: April 30th) http://www.ymcacharlotte.org/branches/morrison/socialresp/events/runballantyne.aspx2. After receiving your confirmation email stating your team is set up in the registration system, recruit employees from your company to join the team and register online through our website (above.)3. Remind team members to select your company name aspart of the team when they register.4. If your company plans to pay for your team’s individualregistrations, please indicate that on your online captainregistration form and we will set that up for you.5. If you want to check on who has signed up from yourcompany: as team members sign up, their names will be listedon the registration website along with your company name.We will also keep an updated list for you too.6. Distribute race shirts & labeled bib numbers withdisposable timing chips to your teammates. These will bedelivered to your company or available for pickup on 5/12/16.7. Enjoy the event!!!
