Facilitated by: Warwick Powell and Dr Gary Lewis PhD

Just as the North talks of boundless possibilities, it has entered a period of not insignificant economic contraction. A perfect storm of cyclical contractions and structural forces is changing the fabric and shape of our socio-economic system.

We are being compelled to rethink how we organise ourselves. Fresh modes of production, distribution and exchange are required emphasising local and regional democratic ownership and control of businesses.

This masterclass will take you through how cooperation, mutuality and collaboration are not just strong traditions but can also provide new inspiration for regional regeneration.

RESHAPING DIGITAL INNOVATION AND INCLUSION

Facilitated by: Leigh Harris and Julie-Anne Lambourne

‘Reshaping digital innovation and inclusion’ will inform, raise awareness and open a discussion about the concept of developing an Indigenous led digital innovation and inclusion incubator for Far North Queensland.

The digital eco-system offers much for regional and remote Queenslanders, importantly it can offer people from disadvantaged background geographical bridges and bring opportunities to become change-makers.

This event is ideal for industry professionals, student and anyone interested in activating digital inclusion and innovation for disadvantaged groups.
