Our Section partnered with LDI in 2011 to initiate a pilot program offering a $1,000 scholarship to a YMF member. This was win-win: engineers were under-represented at the LDI program and the YMF enhanced their leadership formation. Additionally, our Section is building a broader network base and elevating civil engineers visibility. In 2014-15 a YM was selected to be in the program and currently acts as the ASCE-LDI alumni assisting future candidates with the application process. As a result, Erin Feichtner, YMF President Elect was selected to participate in the 2016-2017 in LDI as a member of LDI Class XXIV.
