proceeds from the night for life gala benefit cocktailsIN 1992 THE FIRST COMBINATION DRUGTHERAPIES (“COCKTAILS”)FOR HIV WERE INTRODUCED.Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS helped bring32 of the 34 available HIV medications tomarket. These new “cocktails” allow thousandsof people to manage their HIV infection in orderto live a long and healthy life.

However, support for programs such as testing, linkage-to-care, case management, wellness, nutrition and behavioral health are still needed to help a person establish andmaintain treatment to end the HIV epidemic.
