There is a bus shuttle to AKI GH every 30 minutes

from 08:00 till 18:00.

Approval for the addition / modification of any equipment to

the bike, MUST be obtained from the Race Referee by the

end of the athletes’ briefing

zippers, race caps) – photos taken of each uniform.

Wearing another uniform during the race = DSQ!

Pre-start Procedure

Athlete Introduction:

10 minutes before start - line-up behind the Athlete Lounge

Jog to the platform

Select your position and stay behind the line!

Athlete blocking more than one place will result DSQ

Start Procedure

Athletes in position:

The start can be given any time after the TD announces ”On

your mark”

Air horn blast

The race starts

Athletes not moving forward at the start will

receive a time penalty of 15 seconds in TA1.

False Start Procedures

False start Example 1:

Several horn blasts

Life guard in front of you

Everyone goes back to her/his spot

False start Example 2:

If someone starts before the horn and everyone else

starts with the horn, the athlete who false started will

receive a time penalty of 10 or 15 seconds in T-1.

During the time penalty athlete may not touch any

equipment!

Run Penalty Box Run penalty box is for infringements in: TA1, Bike and TA2

For example: mount before mount line, dismount after dismount line, equipment outside your box, rack the bike outside your own space, etc.

Transitions will be video recorded for infringements

Location: 200m to Finish Line

Information: Notice board to show race numbers(Athletes must check the board)

Procedure: 10 or 15 seconds time penalty served on any lap of the run.

If you do not stop to take the penalty - DSQ

Ambush Marketing Rules

Ambush marketing is defined as:

“Deliberately using the opportunity of live television and

media photographers to acquire additional exposure for

your sponsor product, apparel or brand.”

The consequence for this behavior is:

> The athlete will immediately forfeit their prize money

for that event, if any;

Anti-Doping Control

Photo ID is required for every athlete for Doping

Control

Medical

Only team medical officials are allowed in this area

in case there is an athlete from their team. Every

NF can have 1 team medical upgrade pass, but

only for team doctors with the approval from

Medical Delegate!

Coaches areas

Accreditation

Every coach must have an accreditation to enter the venue.

Only Coaches who have been registered by their NF into the

ITU online system are entitled for an accreditation.

Additional sport-specific coaches areas

Next to T-1 & T-2 areas

An upgrade pass is required to enter these areas. Passes are

given by NF according to the number of athletes entered. 1-3

athletes = 2 pass, 4-6 athletes = 3 passes, 7-9 athletes = 4

passes, 10-12 athletes = 5 passes
