“CMFCAA has been a blessing to our family, especially

our foster children. We have had 12 foster children in our home in the past two years. CMFCAA has been

there to help with 11 of those children.

There was only one which we didn’t need assistance and

she was only with us for one day. For the other 11, CMFCAA has provided essential, basic items these children needed: new backpacks, warm soft quilts, tooth brushes, tooth pastes, hair brushes/combs, shampoos, soaps, diapers, wipes, pajamas, baby bottles, books, coupons for free hair cuts and a gift card to get whatever else we needed.

Not only does CMFCAA provide these essential items for the children, the ladies in the CMFCAA office provide loving support for us. They are very excited when we add a new member to our family. They understand what it means and what it takes to be a foster family. When these children leave our home and our hearts need someone to listen and maybe a shoulder to cry on, these ladies are right there, listening and supporting us.

CMFCAA has helped us more than we could ever imagine. We are truly grateful CMFCAA is available for us.”

2016 big CHANGES"My name is Dashley and I am 19 years old. I am a senior in high

school and will be attending Ozark Technical Community College in the fall. The mentor program of the Transitions Program has been a tremendous help to me. My mentor, Rosete, is an amazing woman who helps me get through my fear of becoming and adult. The most impactful part of the

Transitions program for me is knowing that I wasn't the only kid there. I had people (mentor, staff, foster mom, etc.) there

to help me when I needed it. I am very thankful for the CMFCAA staff and my mentor because they have given me so much. They have

become a family to me. A personal accomplishment that I have is getting nominated as FosterClub's Outstanding Foster Youth Leader for Missouri in 2017. I will also be graduating high school and going on to college. I will be the first person in my family to graduate college along with being the first female to graduate high school. I thank everyone that believes in me along with their support."
