Wen Tu PG&E

I am currently a Principal in the Technology, Solutions, & Strategy group (Gas Operations) at PG&E. I deploy processes and tools for managing PG&E’s implementation of PODS gas transmission database. I led PG&E’s effort to populate, correct, and manage PODS data until the production groups were ready to adopt the process and solution. Additionally, I led PG&E’s implementation of linear asset management in SAP EWM and the synchronization of GT GIS to SAP. I am a Materials Science engineer specializing in metal mechanical and corrosion failures; and a certified weld inspector. As a PODS Board member I would help the Board create the next version of PODS database, drawing from PG&E’s experiences in PODS implementation. I would like to contribute in getting the PODS Association to make recommendations on standard implementation of PODS based on operator needs. Several examples of the type of guidance that I believe users of PODS need guidance on are: How to implement length to fittings How to manage performance for large lines Synchronization of PODS to work management systems Standard implementations of history to meet NTSB and PUC requirements for Integrity Management

Scott Blumenstock, Novara GeoSolutions

“I believe in a standard approach that can be utilized by organizations to greatly streamline required processes, and allows for greater sharing of information as well as more proactive responses instead of reactive responses as regulations become more stringent in the oil and gas industry.” Mr. Blumenstock worked the pipeline industry for over 25 years with experience that ranges from engineering to systems. During his early introduction into the civil design CAD world, he quickly realized the power of design programs and grew his knowledge into the GIS world in the 1990’s. He went on to manage and help build Sunoco’s first entry level GIS program which utilized Autodesk’s AutoCAD Map software to generate alignment sheets. Mr. Blumenstock is currently the Treasurer of the PODS Association, and has been involved in the PODS organization over the past 10 years. Ron Brush New Century Software, Inc.

As a founder and long-time advocate of the PODS Association, I have worked side-by-side with many operators who have successfully implemented the PODS model. This field experience provides an excellent opportunity to see the value of PODS Standards while recognizing the need for improvements. Today there are more data model options available than ever, yet the needs are still not fully being met. I am committed to the vision of the PODS Association and believe the PODS organization needs to mature into a more member focused organization with increased member engagement. I will continue to advance the objectives of the association, promote open data standards and provide experienced Board leadership. Specifically, I will be working on the following: The PODS Association needs to be more inclusive and find ways for more volunteers to contribute. Working groups should be open to all members who are willing to contribute. PODS should focus on addressing the unmet data and integrity needs in the industry. The data model must keep pace with evolving regulatory and technology changes. PODS can be more transparent in keeping members informed about Working Group progress. Thank you in advance for your support.

the creation a new and open data standard for the pipeline industry and serves on the Utility As Built committee for ASCE 38. As Senior VP of Product Development at ProStar, Dan provides expertise in the areas of spatial data integration, application interfacing, interactive application design and mobile tracking technologies. His knowledge of open data standard modeling and application configuration leveraging PODS and other industry standards, such as OGC's Open Geospatial Standards and XML technologies.

Nicolas (Nick) Guerrero Jr. BSD Consulting, Inc.

PODS Association: I have been involved with Pipeline data models from a user perspective since the GRI and the development of an expanded ISAT data model. In the early 2000’s while serving as the GIS Manager of Duke Energy and then Spectra Energy, I sponsored representatives to attend PODS meetings in a routine basis and have always supported the PODS Association. Pipeline Industry: As Senior Industry Consultant, I am interested in PODS because I am involved and exposed to the various needs, expectations and concerns of my clients. Also, as a consultant providing services to the Latin American pipeline industry, I want to be in a better position to provide input and communicate any updates and changes to our pipeline open data standards both in the USA and abroad. The recent deregulation of the energy sector in Mexico has placed the U. S. as focal point in finding established GIS technology, processes and procedures in which they can develop their GIS in support of their pipeline assets. I have been involved in the pipeline industry working for several major pipeline companies for the last 40+years. Non-Profit Associations: Pipeline Leadership Council: Current Executive Director ‘Developing the next generation of leaders in our industry’; Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference Advisory Board; Mexico Gas Summit (Advisory Board Contributor).

Tina Ivey Global Information Systems, LLC

I have worked in the pipeline industry for over 15 years. During that time I have worked with various GIS systems and database platforms capturing, validating and processing data. I have worked in team and group environments consisting of clients, co-workers and other third party vendors to determine data requirements and database design when implementing applications and software solutions. My primary focus has been on Class, HCA, and MAOP determination and tracking. I have been the primary designer and/or developer on solutions for multiple pipeline companies that include determination, analysis of results, and change determination on PODS and other data models. I have also worked on and implemented data validation tools to assist users in identifying invalid or missing data, sheet generators to provide a graphical display of class or HCA results to field personnel, and change management systems to allow companies to review and validate changes in a controlled central system, providing simple and easily accessible audit trails. This experience has provided me with an in depth understanding of the input data components and attributes required by the pipeline industry, the design of various data models as well as the commonality and diversity of data requirements across the industry.

I have diverse experience in the Energy Industry including Project Management, Business Analyst, Data Architect, IT Security, Risk and Compliance, Data Governance, & Records Management. In my career I have worked at Gas Pipeline companies, Oil Company Service Providers, Oil Companies, and Electric Utilites. My diverse experience in the energy industry along with my data focus and risk and compliance would continue to be an asset on the Board. I am a current

member of the PODS Board and have been involved in many new initiatives that I would like to continue to develop as a Board member. I have worked in the pipeline industry for over 20 years of my 36 year career in the energy industry. While I have spent some time in application development, the majority of the time I have has been as a Data Architect, Business Analyst, and Project Manager. I have worked on both operations projects and mid and back office projects in the pipeline industry and am familiar with industry operations. I have held Director level positions in my career in both Data Management and IT Security. My current projects are focused on Data Management including governance, processes, standards and procedures. I also have served in leadership roles for several non-profit organizations. I am currently member PODS Association Board of Directors, was previously a Member of the Research and Development Technical Committee, and was a Presenter at the 2014 PODS User Conference.

Peter Veenstra TRC

I am the Principal GIS Technologist for TRC, responsible for rolling out enterprise pipeline GIS solutions. I have 23 years of experience in the GIS field, including designing and implementing GIS geo-spatial databases, software product development, software architect, programmer, GIS analysis, and CAD drafting.
