2016 ARABIAN HORSE OF THE YEAR: PA JULIUS CAESAR ++++// (Owner: Lorraine Prowse) PA Julius Caesar ++++//, owned and shown by Lorraine Prowse of Sherwood Park, AB has been named the 2016 Arabian Horse of the Year. Caesar is a 2010 purebred Arabian gelding, sired by Jiuliusz de Wiec and out of Memphis NA. At just six years of age, he has already racked up an impressive number of achievements. After earning his Legion of Excellence at the age of four, in 2016 he received the Legion of Masters. Caesar and Lorraine were multi- national Champions in the Sport Horse division in 2016, with the highlight of their season coming at the US Sport Horse Nationals, where they earned the Reserve Championship title in the Sport Horse Under Saddle ATR against a huge field of 43 entries. Remarkably, this is the fifth year in a row that one of Lorraine’s horses has earned the Arabian Horse of the Year title. Sur Teddy’s Magna ++++// won four consecutive titles between 2012 and 2015, before enjoying official retirement following the 2016 Canadian National Arabian Championship.
