ANATOMY OF AN ALX ROD

All rods use Kigan Z Series 3D guides. These excellent guides have a dual leg design which adds strength while maintaining a low prole, light weight design. Guides inserts

are braid resistant ceramics. Kigan guides hold US Patent 8,333,030.

1Expertly designed, proprietary Hydra rod blanks that use today’s latest technology. All rods use one piece, carbon ber rod blanks. The same rod blank runs butt to tip with no energy robbing joints or extensions.

The ZOLO Series represents our most ambitious rod development efforts to date. The result is one of most exciting, best reviewed rods on the market today.

Rods are topped off with top quality zero tangle guides by Kigan, trimmed reel seats, and ALX Rods’ distinct, American inuenced styling.

Built using Hydra NG rod blanks, shermen benet immediately from the use of aerospace quality NG Carbon and Scrimless Fiber Design (SFD). The unique SFD technology eliminates energy-robbing, low modulus materials normally used to create axial strength in rods. The ZOLO series blank replaces traditional design with a singular carbon material wound under intense pressure. A multi axis pattern conguration maintains durability. The result is a homogenous carbon composite that wastes very little energy. Rods are tight and responsive. This careful design equates to increased vibration transmission (sensitivity) and rods that sh smoothly all day long.

All IKOS rods begin with a low resin content OS carbon Hydra rod blank. Rod blank patterns are laid with consideration to multi axis use and then precision-rolled under intense pressure to create a compact carbon composite that shines at reading the lightest bites and delivering jaw-jarring power.

Rods are matched with specic components to compliment the overall shing package. The IKOS series has been tted with class-leading Z Series guides from Kigan – we know of no other rod in class with this quality of guide. Grips are top grade cork and trim pieces are designed for long life.

From speckled trout to bull reds to football size spotted bass, the BOKU Series has your inshore ambitions and light tackle freshwater desires covered! Light tips for nesse presenting and solid backbone for hard runs are covered equally well over 6 select models.

Top Grade full cork grips, oversized reel seats, and ergonomic foregrips help you play out sh. Anti-corrosion coated guides provide long use. All models feature a MidMicro guide train that controls line, and passes leader knots.



All ALX Rods are eligible for a one time, no questions asked replacement for all registered rods. We know stuff happens - and always at the worst time. This plan is for when the hotel door closes on its own and clips off your rod’s tip or your buddy’s Sasquatch size foot doing the two step on the front deck. We can get your replacement ASAP and get you back shing with a new ALX Rod.
