Show our IVE Staff how much we appreciate them.  The PTA hosts four staff appreciation lunches throughout the year. This is an opportunity to appreciate our teachers and staff with a little extra love through dishes prepared by our school family. It is our goal that each parent be given the opportunity to donate to the lunches and be part of the celebration of our amazing staff. Each luncheon is a different theme, whether it's comfort food, the ultimate salad bar or soups and stews.  Menus will be available to sign up for individual spots about 2-3 weeks prior to each luncheon.  The first lunch is November 10th.

Popcorn Fridays!   A popular PTA fundraiser here at IVE is Popcorn Fridays!  Every Friday, students may purchase popcorn during second recess for 25 cents a bag OR 10 cents for the first bag if they are wearing IVE spirit wear OR by trading in 15 Cougar Awards. The special ingredient in our popcorn on Popcorn Fridays are the parent volunteers that run the machine during the second recess.  The typical time commitment is from 1:10 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.   Volunteers can choose when and how often they want to pop; once a month, every other month, whatever works best for each volunteer’s schedule.  Training sessions are held periodically! Please give it a try – it is a wonderful way to meet other IVE parents as well as spend time getting to know the students and staff at IVE!  Click H ERE  to sign up! Popcorn Fridays have started and need volunteers!

ART Docent    Looking for a fun way to volunteer in the classroom?

Art education in the Issaquah School District is underfunded so parent volunteers fill the gap.  The Art Docent Program is volunteer led art instruction.  Volunteer art docents teach art once a month. Docents introduce a variety of artists and expose students to multiple artistic mediums, including clay, collage, painting, sculpture, print-making, and drawing.  This program strives to bring art education to all students at IVE.

Volunteers should have a passion for the arts, enjoy working with kids in the classroom, and be able to work cooperatively with other volunteers and teachers; the PTA provides training, curriculum and all the supplies!  Please contact Angie Warren [email protected] for more details.

Art Docent training will take place soon.
