JAPANESE EXCHANGE STUDENT• The international student exchange program is

looking for a host-family for a student from Tokoro whose initial host family has backed out of the program.

• It is from November 6 to January 7. • Because this is not a reciprocal exchange,

being implemented• Students will take one class for three

• There is now an app for MacEwan to access your portal• High school diploma is no longer a

requirement for their one and two year programs but specific course requirements must be met instead• Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science are

allowing two declared majors or one major and two minors• The new Center for the Arts will be ready for

2017. If you are going into anything related to the Fine Arts or Design, you will enjoy the shiny, new building

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering Transfer now is a 70% minimum and it is still competitive. • Bachelor of Commerce students can choose a

co-op stream.• Final Grade 11 marks and final grade 12 marks

are used for acceptance, not self-reported marks. Be sure to include all your grade 12 classes in your Apply Alberta application• First year residence is guaranteed for athletes,

academic excellence students and scholarship recipients

overall average• The tuition is more but you do have extremely small

classes, anywhere from 5 – 25 students depending on the course and year

• You can do research with your professors and be published

Flex BasicsAt the start of Flex, the teacher may release students

who are caught up on their work. If you are not caught up, you are to work in that room to get caught up, and the teacher will be available to help you.

If you are released, you may go to another room where you will catch up on work for other courses, or if you are caught up in all classes, you can review or do something else that you could learn about in school.

You are REQUIRED to go to a SUPERVISED SPACE during FLEX — FLEX attendance is NOT OPTIONAL.

Most Sr. High rooms will be open. If a room is not available, there will be a note posted on the door.
