Installation of Rotaract Club of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, Chandigarh was successfully held on 01 September 2016. Chief Guest AG Deepak Sood, President Amarjit Singh, Secretary Sundeep Singh Sawhney, Rtn. Nitin Kapur, Rtn. Kulbir Singh Bhatia and District Rotaract Representative Rtr. Shubham Rattan participated in the installation ceremony.
AG Deepak Sood in his speech inspired the youth to do more for the community. In his address President Amarjit Singh talked about the role of Rotaractors in nation building. He promised full support to Rotaractors in their activities. DRR Rtr. Shubham Rattan gave his plans for the year 2016-17, and was confident of the support from his team.
A beautiful programme was presented by the students. Vote of thanks was proposed by Secretary Rtn. Sundeep Singh Sawhney.
Swachhta abhiyan
On 4th September 2016 at 6 a.m. our swachhta team went to Vatika Park in Sector 5, Panchkula for cleanliness and water saving abhiyan. It was the cleanest park of all the areas covered so far as our team filled only one garbage bag. The people sitting in the park responded very well and assured to carry the message amongst masses. There was a suggestion that Govt should form a body which takes the responsibility of Swachh Bharat which would ensure the desired results to make this abhiyan successful and effective.
