(xii) NDU accepts: a. At least three (3) ‘A’ level passes at GCE or its equivalent in

Physics, Mathematics/Further Mathematics and Chemistry and Five (5) credit level passes at SSCE/NECO/GCE ‘O’ level including English Language, Mathematics/Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Admission should be to 200 level of study in a five year degree programme.

b. National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) at Upper Credit and above, in the relevant discipline from an approved Polytechnic or related Institution. ND holders shall be admitted to the 200 level or study in a five year degree programme while HND holders shall be admitted to 300 level. In addition to the above, candidates must have five (5) SCCE/NECO/GCE ‘O’ level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics/Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

(xiii) ABU does not accept First Degree Holders. (xiv) MAIDUGURI requires a minimum of Lower Credit in

Diploma and Merit or nine points in IJMB. (xv) LAUTECH same as in Chemical Engineering. (xvi) FUTA accepts OND at Upper Credit level or

equivalent professional qualification in Agricultural Engineering. or 'A' level passes at one sitting in at least two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

In all the cases above the candidates must possess the UTME requirements.

(xviii) RSUST requires A/L passes in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics plus UTME requirement and accepts OND/ND. U.D. (Upper Credit) in relevant disciplines for admissions into 200 level or HND in the appropriate discipline for admissions into 300 level.

(xix) OSUSTECH requires two A’ level passes in Agric. Science, Mathematics Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

(xx) FUTO requires three ‘A’ level credit passes in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. It also accepts OND/HND in Engineering at upper credit level in addition to O’ level requirements.

(xxi) FED-OYEEKITI – Same as in Mechanical Engineering.

UTME: (i) ESUTECH accepts a credit in English Language and all

Physics, Chemistry and any two of English Language, Biology or Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Geography and Economics. Also candidates with NABTEB Federal Craft Certificate or WAEC (Technical) Credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, may be admitted at 100 Level if they meet other admission requirements. All candidates must have obtained at least a pass in English Language.

(iii) RSUST requires credit pass Biology or Agricultural Science as the fifth subject.

(iv) IBADAN require 5 or 6 'O' level credit passes at one or two sittings to include English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with any one/two of the following: Biology/ Agric Science, Further Mathematics, Technical. Drawing, Economics, Geography, Metal Work, and Wood Work.

(v) LAUTECH, RSUST and BAUCHI accept Biology in lieu of Agricultural Science

(vi) FUTO accepts any other Science subjects as the fifth subject and not more than two sittings.

(vii) MAIDUGURI requires Five 'O' Level credits to include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one credit from among Biology, Geography, Agric. Sci, Further Mathematics or Technical Drawing at not more than two sittings.

(viii) FUTA requires five SSCE credit passes English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a minimum of credit pass in the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level), or

For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building/Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.

Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

DIRECT ENTRY: (i) JOS accepts OND/HND with a GPA not less than 3.50 in

Building or Civil Engineering for the 200 level. (ii) MAUTY accepts Pass at HND level or OND at Lower

credit level in Building or any relevant discipline (iii) IMSU, OAU and LAGOS accept candidates with

OND/HND (Upper credit) in relevant fields into 200/300 level provided they satisfy the following:

(a) OND course must include Mathematics at OND II level; (b) Have equivalent of ‘A’ level in Mathematics. (iv) BAUCHI, MAUTY and MINNA accept OND/HND lower

credit in relevant courses. (v) UYO accepts OND (upper credit) and HND (lower credit). (vi) AAU accepts pass in Chemistry. ND/HND in relevant

fields. (vii) JOS would admit the holders of OND in Building

Engineering, and other appropriateate disciplines with passes at Lower Credit level and above plus credit pass in Mathematics, Physics, English Language listed in (viii) below or equivalent in 200 level of the Programme

(viii) ABU accepts: (a) ‘A’ level /IJMB passes in Mathematics and Physics plus

any one of Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Geography.

(b) ND in Building with Upper Credit from accredited Institution.

(viii) FUTA accepts: (a) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics at one

sitting. (b) ND in Building, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or Civil

Engineering with Upper Credit from accredited Institution.

(c) Any additional pass in Chemistry, Geography or Economics may be an advantage.

(ix) LAGOS accepts candidates with OND/HND (Distinction) in relevant fields into 200/300 levels respectively provided they satisfy the following:

(a) OND courses must include Mathematics at OND II level; (b) Have equivalent of ‘A’ level in Mathematics.

Drawing, Building Construction, Economics and Land Surveying.

NCE Lower Credit, a National Diploma in Fine Arts with a minimum of lower credit from a recognized institution. Any other relevant qualifications may be considered. Portfolio assessment may be required. However, candidates must also satisfy the minimum ‘O’ level entry requirements as specified in (a) above.
