2. New house The construction of the new house is going on quite speedily. We hope it will be finished by the end of March. Fr. Luigi has entered into his new room one week ago. In this new room rats and cockroaches and small frogs and snakes will not be allowed to go in. The house will have a modern look and will have large windows for air and light to enter. Dr. Marco has proved to be a very good engineer to design the shape and the structure of this new house. Now we’ll have many rooms to accommodate both the Munda girls and guests who will have enough courage to venture into this remote corner of Bangladesh.

3. Rain Drinking water is a big problem in this part of the country. We collect rain water in big tanks during the rainy season but usually when winter has almost gone our supply of drinking water has also gone. So those tanks become empty. Starting from the beginning of February we have been collecting water from a nearby filter. Luckily a few days ago it had rained heavily. So we could collect enough rain water which will allow us to go until the next rainy season without any shortage of drinking water.

4. Vegetables in our garden Also our garden benefitted from the heavy rain we had a few days ago. Our garden is pretty large. Our farmers are: Shadon Munda (in the picture), and Ramesh Munda. They have grown many kinds of vegetables such as: eggplants, gourd, spinach of Malabar etc. We do not use any chemical fertilizer or insecticides in our garden.

The mango trees have blossomed and small mangoes are growing on the branches. We hope to get juicy mangoes in a couple of months.

5. Rabbits Along with ducks we have also rabbits in our small farm. At the beginning of the winter season we bought two rabbits: a male and a female, which have been quite productive. We have now around twenty rabbits both big and small and we have already started selling some of them to those who are eager to start a rabbit farm.

6. Our first Munda nurse Falguni Munda stayed with us several years until she passed the SSC examinations Then she was admitted to Kumudini Hospital in Tangail District for nursing training. She finished her training at the end of December 2015. As soon as she finished her training she was called by the Untited Hospital in Dhaka for an interview. She passed that interview and last month she started working in that hospital as a qualified nurse. We are very proud of her and we wish her every kind of success in her future life.
