2015 RACE GUIDE
Its hard to believe the second annual Zydeco Marathon & 1/2 is already here. Our inaugural year was a tremendous success and we are aiming even higher this year. While we decided to keep the double loop full marathon course again for 2015, we did make a few strategic adjustments for a better experience:
Increased the size of our expo to over 36,000 ft and are proud to have a surprise guest speaker with us at 1:00 pm on 3/7.
Revised course to delete the heart breaking out-and-back near the finish line.
Updated timing system to add the Facebook and text message updates we all love, as well as live results feed to our website.
Added Blackham Colisuem as a foul weather contingency for our signa-ture Finish Line Festival.
While we are all certainly hoping for the same beautiful weather we had last year, we realize it is March in south Louisiana. Rain or shine, you can rest assured our awe-some crew of Lafayette police officers, course volunteers, and race officials will be there with you to make this a fun, safe, and memora-ble event for everyone involved. Your post race Finish Line Festival will be high and dry. All the hot food, cold beer, and rockin live Zydeco music you can handle!
So on behalf of the Zydeco team, we welcome you back to Lafayette and wish everyone a great run!

The Zydeco Marathon will have the following pacers on the course, and will use wave corrals at the start.
At the starting line, please line up in the corral that closely matches your expected pace. This will alleviate the initial runner congestion at the beginning, and will provide for a smoother start for all runners. Your time will not begin until you cross the starting line.
