This sale is governed by the law of Texas. These terms represent the full agreement between buyer and V8 Ranch.

PAYMENT: Terms of the sale are cash, check, bank wire, or credit card payable to V8 Ranch. Credit card payments will be billed a 3% convenience fee. Payment must be made by April 17, 2015 and before animals will be picked up. Any accounts that are unpaid by May 7, 2015 are subject to 18% APR.

REGISTRATION AND TRANSFER: Upon payment, V8 Ranch transfer registration paper to the new owner. Announcements posted at www.v8ranch.com or www.dvauction.com will take precedence over printed material in this catalog.

FEEDING TERMS: Bulls will be provided free care until May 7, 2015. After that, feed costs will be billed at the rate of $5/per head per day. Any veterinary expense will be the owners obligation. All accounts will be billed monthly. Feed charges must be paid in full when the bull is picked up.

HEALTH: Each bull is eligible for a state approved health certificate for interstate shipment. Animals have been provided the utmost care, nutrition, and vaccinations under the guidance of our ranch veterinarian. All animals are assumed to be sound and healthy at sale time.

BREEDING GUARANTEE: All bulls are guaranteed to be natural breeders with the exception of injury or disease to the animal after sale; gross negligence or misconduct. Buyers must notify V8 Ranch of any fertility concerns within 1 year of this sale. At that time, V8 Ranch will have 6 months from the date animal is returned to prove the animal to be a breeder.

LIABILITY & INSURANCE: Ownership of the animal transfers at the time of sale and buyer bears the risk of injury, disease or death which may occur after purchase. Insurance is available for your purchase at the sale through Harding & Harding (817-321-1872) or Jensen Livestock Agency (785-374-4372).

From Our Family...Dear Friends - I can’t even start to describe how excited I am for the offering of bulls in this sale. These

bulls combine so many qualities - growth, carcass quality, fantastic phenotype, low birth weight, and more. These bulls have the quality to fit in any program in the country and beyond. You can be assured that these bulls can make an impact on any Brahman herd, produce some of the most powerful F1 offspring in the business, or even be used in a breeding up program for Brangus, Braford, or Simbrah.

While it is great to have as many past National and International Grand Champions as we have had in the past (more than any other ranch in Brahman history), I personally find greater joy in producing top quality, performance tested Brahman bulls. We refer to these type of bulls as our “bread and butter” of V8 Ranch. In 2014, 84 percent of our bulls were sold within the USA and 16 percent sold internationally. Of these, 58% went to be used in a crossbreeding program and 42% went to a seedstock herd. We are proud of this data that shows our cattle are successfully meeting the demands of both the U.S. and worldwide cattleman.

As a Brahman breeder, I take great satisfaction when I can visit with our bull buyers from out in the “real world” and be able to sell them a bull year after year that they can take home, be proud of, and who produces consistently high quality calves.

In the past few years, the Brahman breed has experienced and all time high interest. With this demand, it is the responsibility of purebred breeders to produce more than just a long eared, heat tolerant animal with a hump. To survive and stay viable as a beef breed, Brahman breeders have to pay attention to INDUSTRY RELEVANT traits. And that is what we focus on at V8. In 2012, we were named Seedstock Producer of the Year by the Beef Improvement Federation. We consider this our highest honor because it shows our focus on the entire beef industry. Everyone appreciates the contributions Brahmans offer for hybrid vigor and efficiency, but at V8, we offer much more. Our mission is to supply bulls with low birth weights, growth, heavy muscle, good dispositions, and carcass quality. The bulls selling in this sale fit this bill and are ones that we sell with confidence.

HOW ARE THE BULLS DEVELOPED?After weaning, the bulls started to be developed on Purina Accuration with

a #1 limiter. They remained on this ration until the average age of the bulls was 12 months old and yearling data was collected. At that time, the bulls were bumped up to a #2 limiter and turned out in a 20 acre oat and rye-grass trap to acclimate to a pasture setting to harden up and get ready for service.

If you are in need of a quality American Brahman bull, you found the right place. We have an unprecedented demand for our bulls and these bulls have been purposely held back for this sale to showcase our passion for producing top quality American Brahman cattle. Just to show you the demand for V8 bulls, this is the oldest set of bulls we have for sale at the ranch. These 14 bulls were hand picked out of a group of 35 bulls as the highest quality. Once the selections were made, the remaining bulls were listed for sale private treaty and sold within 2 days.

Any animal carrying a V8 brand represents more than just a Brahman. It represents the pride and dedication of 4 generations of our family that are involved in the Brahman business for more than 70 years. • The only full 2-year-old bull in the sale. When we decided to host our first online bull sale, we wanted an outstanding bull with polled genetics to include in the sale, so we turned down several private treaty offers on this bull to offer him as Lot 1 in this sale.

AUCTION FORMAT AND CLOSEOUTBids will open on the sale on April 6. During the 2-day period you may cast your bid online, similar to eBay style bidding. Bidding ends at 5:00 p.m. on April 7. Bidding will be extended for 5 minutes if a bid is placed on any lot near the closing time.

PROXY BIDDING - If you are unable to be at the sale during the close out, we recommend using the Proxy Bidding feature. This is similar to a “Max Bid” in eBay. Your proxy bid is 100% confidential. The way this works is that the DV system will automatically bid for you if someone bids against you, until you reach your maximum amount. If no one else is bidding, the Proxy bid does not bid.

For example, in our first online sale, after the sale one of our buyers told us he had placed a proxy bid for $15,000 on a show heifer pros-pect because he had to go to his son’s football game. He put in his proxy bid and left. When the auction closed, he had purchased the heifer for $6000, because no one else bid against him. This is an excellent feature to use with assurance and privacy.
