MESSAGE FROM THE TIGER SCHOLARSHIP FUND

As we progress through our third year of membership in the Southeastern Conference, we are extremely pleased with the many impressive accomplishments of our student-athletes in the community, classroom, and competitive arenas. Through the development of our innovative, world-class student-athlete support services and facilities, we are providing our young men and women with an experience that is second to none in the country. While we are proud of our programs and services, these successes would not be attainable without the generous support and commitment of our Tiger Scholarship Fund donors.

Mizzou Athletics is genuinely committed to the overall well-being and development of each of our 520 student-athletes. Our programming creates an environment that develops the entire student-athlete through education, motivation, inspiration, and empowerment. Your generous support to the Tiger Scholarship Fund allows us to dedicate resources in the areas of academic tutoring, career and leadership development training, community volunteerism, strength and conditioning, sports medicine, nutrition, and sports psychology. Our industry-leading sports psychology department and “Positive Coaching” philosophy embody the one of a kind experience that our student-athletes can find nowhere else in the country at this level. Now that is MizzouMade!

Our department is proud of the way Mizzou Athletics functions and operates every single day; with integrity and a passion to be the best. We are thankful to have you on our team and for the investment you have made in the lives of our student-athletes. By supporting Mizzou Athletics, you are creating life-changing opportunities. Thank you for your continued generous support!

MESSAGE FROM TSF - 2

TSF MISSION: The mission of the Tiger Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarship support for Mizzou student-athletes. All contributions given to the TSF annual fund are used to cover scholarship expenses such as tuition, room, board, academic counseling, tutors and life skills programs for Mizzou student-athletes. Gifts to the Tiger Scholarship Fund are utilized in a fiscally responsible manner to “Prepare Champions for Life” and to enhance and instill the three core values of the Athletics Department: Social Responsibility, Academic Integrity, and Competitive Excellence.

The total Annual Athletics Scholarship cost that is owed to the University of Missouri by Mizzou Athletics is approximately $9,750,000 in 2015.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP:

3 - ABOUT TSFPRIORITY POINTS - 4

PRIORITY POINTSSince priority points are rewarded for your loyalty and generosity, the priority point system is utilized to determine your rank amongst your peers for the following requests:

• Parking requests for both Football and Men’s Basketball• New or additional season ticket requests• Seat relocation requests• Football home and away game ticket requests• Neutral site/postseason ticket requests• Premium Seating requests

* Requests for tickets and parking are NEVER guaranteed.

TSF will only recognize one individual (and spouse) as a member, thus we will only reward priority points to that individual. POINTS ARE NON-TRANSFERRABLE.

HOW ARE PRIORITY POINT TOTALS DETERMINED?FOOTBALL PRIORITY POINTS • You receive ONE POINT for every $100 that you donate to the

Tiger Scholarship Fund, including gifts made for premium seating, endowments, the capital campaign, and sport-specific giving.

• You receive TWO POINTS for each consecutive year that you purchase football season tickets, starting with the second consecutive year. If you drop your football season tickets, the points in this category revert to zero.

• You receive THREE POINTS for each consecutive year that you donate to the Tiger Scholarship Fund, starting with the second consecutive year. If you miss a year, the points in this category revert to zero.

• You receive TWO POINTS for purchasing football bowl and SEC Championship football tickets (two points total per game, not two points per ticket purchased).

BASKETBALL PRIORITY POINTS• You receive ONE POINT for every $100 that you donate to the

Tiger Scholarship Fund, including gifts made for premium seating, endowments, the capital campaign, and sport-specific giving.

13 - LEGAL AND WAYS TO GIVE

LEGAL Donations to the Tiger Scholarship Fund are non-refundable.DONOR AGREEMENTDonors agree to adhere to and abide by rules and regulations concerning intercollegiate athletics as determined by the NCAA, the Southeastern Conference, and the University of Missouri. Should questions arise concerning the various rules and regulations, donors acknowledge that they should contact the Mizzou Athletic Compliance Office at 573.882.2076. Donors agree that should they be found by the NCAA or the University to have violated, knowingly or without regard for the same, rules or regulations, they may be disassociated from the University, athletics program, and its activities. Donors can be expelled as a member of the Tiger Scholarship Fund and will forfeit all benefits and privileges (including the right to receive priority season tickets and parking at specified athletic events) until the end of the period of disassociation and subsequent reinstatement by the Tiger Scholarship Fund.

TAX INFORMATIONIf your contribution includes an option to purchase tickets, 80% of your gift is tax deductible. For 100% tax deductibility of your gift, you must decline your right to receive any benefits at the time you make your gift. This must be noted in writing. Major gifts or contributions not associated with ticket priority are automatically 100% deductible. Only the individual or company making the gift is eligible to take the tax deduction. Tiger Scholarship Fund donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes. Since the TSF operates in conjunction with the University of Missouri Office of Development and Alumni Relations, gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

IRS MATCHING GIFT INFORMATIONPer IRS Publication 526, the IRS 80/20 Rule relating to charitable contributions from which a donor receives or expects to receive benefits (the right to purchase parking passes, priority seating for events, etc.) must also be applied to the matching gift claims as well. If benefits are related to a TSF contribution, the matching claim could only be submitted for 80% of the portion of the contribution which is considered truly charitable and tax deductible. Please make note of this change when considering your total TSF contribution.

WAYS TO GIVE CASH DONATIONSMost gifts to the TSF take this form and it is as easy as writing a check or using your MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover card. Checks should be made payable to the University of Missouri. Payment plan and automatic bankdraft withdrawal options are available.
