TErMS & condiTionSMailed Bids: Mailed or telephoned bids will be handled in a most confidential manner. If you are unable to attend the sale personally, simply contact a representative of the sale far enough in advance prior to sale day. They will be able to assist you at ringside on sale day.

Delivery: Every effort will be made to arrange delivery of your purchases at a reasonable cost.

Terms And Conditions: Terms of the sale are cash. Settlement is to be made with the clerk immediately following the sale and before cattle are removed from the premises. Purchasers or their representatives must sign the bill of sale prior to leaving the sale.

Update On Breeding And Calving Information: There will be added information available at the sale site that will list any additions to the catalog information as to new calves born and new breeding information that will occur after the printing of this catalog.

Billed Accounts: All billed accounts are due and expected within 10 days following the date of the sale. At 10 days, a two percent service charge will be added to the unpaid balance and an additional two percent will be added every 30 days thereafter.

Insurance will be available for your purchases at the clerk’s desk.Liability: Each animal will be at the buyer’s risk as soon as sold, but will be cared for by the sellers for a reasonable amount of time. Neither the owners, employees, auctioneer, sale manager or other affiliated personnel can be responsible for any accidents, but they will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of those attending.

Health: Each animal will be represented by a state approved health certificate for interstate shipment. Buyers should make themselves aware of the health requirements for their respective states.

ASA Genetic Defect Disclaimer: Unless an animal is listed on the American Shorthorn Association “genetic defect status list”, the American Shorthorn Association makes no representation of any kind as to whether or not the animal has a genetic defect.

Breeding Guarantee: The Standard Breeding Guarantee as endorsed by the American Shorthorn Association will be followed.

Flushes & DNA: The Swing the Gate consignors reserves one flush on their own individuals lot of eight or more grade 1 or 2 embryos at consignors expense on their females selling, if multiple owners they

will divide embryos from said flush. The Swing the Gate consignors also retain at consignors expense the opportunity to obtain a DNA cell line for cloning purposes on their own individual lots selling in this sale. This will insure we bring you a strong offering every year.

Announcements made from the auction block take precedence over all printed material in this catalog.

The buyer assumes all risk associated with the purchase of known and unknown Genetic Condition Abnormalities of carrier animals. (Provided the seller has disclosed all Shorthorn Genetic Conditions known to the seller and /or to the Shorthorn breed at the time of sale)

Special logos with letter terminologies will be given to breeder’s sales and/or individual lots in a sale that make it a priority to test and disclose all Genetic Conditions.

A. GCF (Genetic Condition Free) –A sale offering or an individual lot that has tested or found animals to be pedigree free of any Genetic Condition Abnormalities for all animals and/or genetic material represented in the sale.

B. GCT (Genetic Condition Tested) – A sale offering or individual lot that has tested all animals that may be potential Genetic Condition carriers and the results of those tests are displayed in the appropriate manner for all animals that may be at risk as a Genetic Condition carrier. This means that all possible Genetic Condition Carriers are identified according to the descriptions in paragraph 1 under Disclosure of Genetic Conditions and Performance Data.
