4/13 - 6/15 Energy Project Student Technician for the Sustainability Office, Oregon State University. Responsibilities:

Read OSU utility meters. That is a total of 268 meters, steam & electricity.

Solar Trailer logistics and maintenance, including attending events for outreach

Point person for monitoring and troubleshooting OSU’s five solar arrays

Work closely with OSU’s facility services to schedule projects and maintain solid relationship to help drive sustainability on OSU’s campus.

Projects worked on:

Real Time Utility Monitoring Project for all of the OSU buildings. When complete students and faculty will be able to read their building’s energy consumption.

My responsibilities for that project include, being the point person between OSU and the contractor, insuring the contract was kept, and meeting the contractors to walkthrough the buildings before and after the bid process. I also worked on organizing inventory for the meters, CT’s and other devices during the project.

I organized and helped installed three touch screen monitors throughout campus that interactively show our solar arrays production directly to students.

Heat Pump Hot Water Heater project which replaces hot water heaters as they are needed with more energy efficient heat pump hot water heaters.

Did small scale lighting replacements on campus. Mainly in lecture halls where incandescent lights were still in use.

6/15 - 9/15 HENSEL PHELPS – Internship at East County Hall of Justice, Dublin CA

5 weeks as a Field Engineer. I worked on preparing control for the building as well as performing QC for slab on grade concrete placements. I also coordinated a 380 cy SOG pour.

5 weeks as an Office Engineer. I was given a few sub-contractors to coordinate submittals, transmittals and deliveries, as well as prep meetings to prepare them for coming on site. With the scope of work I was given I also did monthly pay apps for each sub-contractor.

Additional Information: Boy Scout from 1999-2008, earning my Eagle Scout in 2008.
