History of Jonker Street

• Jonker street is one of the oldest streets in Malacca.

• It was first recorded on maps in 1244.• When Admiral Cheng Ho visited South East

Asia, he has a base in Malacca and it was supposed to be in Jonker Street.

• Since the 1990s, Jonker street is closed to traffic every Friday and Saturday evening from 5pm for a night bazaar.

• Oldest and most popular Chicken Rice ball in Jonker Street

• Original stall that has it’s old workers left and set up competing stalls along Jonker Street.

• Non-airconditioned and always with a very long queue.

• Serves only steamed chicken and rice balls.

Hypothesis Conclusion

• In conclusion, based on the data collected, we feel that the hypothesis is Void.

• There are many services and shops that still serve the locals in Malacca

• There are also however many local tourists from other states of Malaysia.
