Catholics celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation because we recognize that sometimes we fail to do as we ought and because we believe in God’s mercy and forgiveness. Has it been a while since you received the sacrament

of Reconciliation? Are you unsure of what to do? Maybe you are embarrassed, afraid, or ashamed? Know that the sacrament is completely confidential and the decision to come is cause for rejoicing. Even if you don’t know how you can change your life, showing up makes you open to the grace that the sacrament brings. Visit rcav.org/come-to-confession/ to learn more about the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Dear Father Maciej:

I would like to express my gratitude to you and your parishioners for a successful Project Advance 2014 appeal. It is evident that you and your parish leadership teams worked diligently to encourage your parishioners to “Live gratefully, give generously.” Your parish met its share of the Archdiocesan goal and helped raise $3,000,000 for the capital needs and the charitable works of our Archdiocese. As well, over $3.5 million was returned to parishes. Holy Cross Parish received a total of $37,980.87 that I hope helped address some of your specific needs.

As we begin preparations for Project Advance 2015, the Archdiocesan goal remains at $3,000,000. Parish goals have been reviewed, as they are annually, and given the seismic challenges we face in the coming years, we have decided that for 2015, parish goals will remain the same as they were in 2014. Therefore, the goal for Holy Cross Parish for 2015 will remain at $55,000.

Thank you for your continued cooperation in making our annual Project Advance Appeal a fruitful endeavour, which furthers the mission of the Church.

The first hour will include a very brief meeting, welcome ceremony for our new members, recognition of members celebrating milestone anniversaries and recognition of special medal recipients. At 8:00pm, Peter and Mary Jo Dawe will show a short video about ‘BEADS FOR LIFE’, an initiative that allows women in Uganda to support themselves, their families and community. Guests will be able to purchase goods made by the women. Please invite family and friends to join us at 8:00pm and help us in welcoming the Dawes. Let’s show that Holy Cross cares! Refreshments will be served. Members are asked to bring to the meeting any new, small cosmetic bags and/or cosmetics, nail polish, perfumes, shampoo/conditioner etc. for the AGAPE Ministries.CWL Bake Sale will be offered after the Masses on Palm Sunday. We welcome your donations of baked goods. Given that there are many people who suffer from nut allergies, kindly indicate if your item contains nuts. Thank you for your generosity!Please join us for a special ‘Easter Floral Workshop’ with Maria Viveiros. The workshop will be held on Saturday, March 28th, from 9:45am- 12 noon, in the church basement music room. The registration fee is $25.00 which includes flowers, vase, supplies and refreshments.
