arctic blast timber-lee’s arctic Blast event is designed with the goal of taking care of every detail so that pastors and sponsors can maximize their time with children. One of the very best ways to get to know kids, and to have them open up, is to spend time away from the norm. at arctic Blast, we take care of the details so that leaders can spend time on the tube hill, in the Science education Center, tobogganing, or singing along with arbor.vitae timber-lee worship band (and wherever else this adventure takes you)! Focused on the true objects of ministry--kids, sign up through your youth group at church! FeB 14-16 3-6 gr.

On Labor Day, September 1946, a group of people crowded into a Boy Scout cabin, the only building on 20 acres in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, to discuss the creation of a new non-for-profit camp.

World War II just ended, thus making Army surplus available. The non-profit purchased twenty 12x12 tents,100 double bunks, and 200 mattresses to accommodate 133 campers, 19 counselors, and a tent for army surplus storage of Kool aid, food, etc.

Led by the first Executive Director, Rolf Egeland, who still volunteers today, over 200 volunteers would arrive every Saturday in the spring to run the first year of the non-profit’s beginning season. High school and college-age staff tunneled under an 18’ wide highway to run a water main only 10 days before the first camp week started.

1972, on a bitterly cold winter morning, Carl Weir and several members of the Board of Directors drove to East Troy, about 25 miles north of Williams Bay, to see a 550-acre piece of property that was for sale. This site is where Timber-lee is located today!
