The 2015 season marks the fifth for David Pressley as head

coach at Anderson University.

He replaced Hall of Fame coach Don Brandon as the head

baseball coach at Anderson in 2010 and is only the third AU skipper

since 1960. Pressley was an assistant coach under Brandon for

three seasons before taking over the top spot in 2011.

In four seasons as head coach at Anderson, Pressley has led the

Ravens to a 102-67 record, including a 62-34 record in Heartland

Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

In his time with the Ravens, Pressley has helped produce one

NCAA All-American (Michael Tucker, 2011), 13 All-HCAC players,

one HCAC Pitcher of the Year (Nolan Schaefer, 2014), one All-

Region player (Schaefer, 2014), and one HCAC Freshman of the Year (Ryan McPike, 2013).

In 2010, his last season as assistant coach, the Ravens led the NCAA (all divisions) with a .391

team batting average. Under his tutelage, two players have been drafted in the MLB Draft.

Pressley was a four-year letterman in baseball at The University of Alabama-Huntsville. He

earned his bachelor's degree in marketing/business administration from Alabama-Huntsville in 2006.

He added his master's degree at the AU School of Theology in 2011. Pressley and his wife

Marisha, reside in Pendleton. They have a daughter, Adelaine, and a son, Silas.

2015 marks the third season as assistant baseball coach at

Anderson University for Sam Linette. Linette came to Anderson from

DePauw University, where he was an assistant coach in 2012. He has

also been an assistant coach at Wofford College (2010-11).

He earned his bachelor's degree from DePauw University in 2010,

where he was a four-year letterwinner and part of the school record

with 35 victories in 2008. He was also nominated to the ESPN

Magazine All-American Team.

Linette is originially from Jasper, Ind., where he was a four-year

letterman and member of the 2006 state championship team at Jasper

High School. He was named the Mental Attitude Award Winner in Class

3A at the state finals.

He is a certified USA Weightlifting Performance Level I coach and has experience working with

NFL combine prospects and several NFL and MLB draftees.

Linette is currently working on his master's degree at Anderson University in the School of

Theology. He resides in Anderson.

Zach Barnes will be in his second season as an assistant coach on

the Anderson University baseball staff in 2015.

He graduated from Twin Lakes High School in 2008 and attended

Kishwaukee College from 2008-10. As a sophomore at Kishwaukee,

Barnes helped the team win the Division 1 NJCAA Region 4 Baseball

championship, before eventually being eliminated by national

champion Iowa Western.

Barnes was named to the Arrowhead Academic All-Conference

Team at Kishwaukee. He then transferred to Coker College, where he

played from 2010-2012. He was a member of the Spring Presidential

Honor Roll and graduated from Coker in 2012 with a B.A. in history.
