Day One: Monday, April 14, 2015• Quiet Question: Type Two Prompt---We are going to be doing a Conflicting Concepts Activity. This activity

requires students to compare documents to understand a conflict in society. The documents represent the conflicting views on the partition of India and Pakistan.

• Steps:• Get out your Partition of India and Pakistan Notes from the last lesson to refer to and also use with this

prompt.• You will be broken up into groups of four. Each group member will be assigned a different

document/viewpoint to read and present to the group.• Document A: Muhammad Ali Jinnah• Document B: Jawaharlal Nehru• Document C: Lord Louis Mountbatten• Document D: Stanly Wolpert.

• Once you have read your assigned document, you will fill in the section on your assigned person completing:• Based on this document, was India’s Partition Plan a good decision? • Evidence from document to support these reasons?

• Then each person in the group will present their assigned viewpoints.• After this, considering all we learned in the previous lesson and what you learned from the documents,

answer the Claim Section on the first page. What do you think and why?

Day Two: Tuesday, April 15, 2015• Groups: Using the Jigsaw Method, you will be broken up into groups of three

or four and each will be assigned a different aspect of Modern Pakistan to research and take notes on and then teach to your group members. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR SECTION DONE FOR TOMORROW!
