Climatehong Kong has a subtropical climate featuring cool, relatively dry winters and hot, humid summers. The best time to visit hong Kong is from late September to December, where temperatures remain moderate. From March to May, the weather is warm and humid with fog and drizzle also permitting. The rainy season is from June to august and the weather is usually hot and humid.

Passport and VisasVisitors must carry a passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of arrival into hong Kong. australian passport holders do not require a visa prior to arrival in hong Kong for visits up to three months. however they will require a visa prior to arrival into China. asia Escape holidays highly recommends checking all visa requirements with the appropriate embassies or consulates before making travel arrangements. alternatively, please ask your travel agent for more information.

LanguageThe national languages in hong Kong are English and Chinese (mainly Cantonese). English is widely understood and spoken in tourist areas.

Drinking WaterBottled water is available at local supermarkets and in your hotel. it is not recommended to drink tap water. avoid drinks with ice cubes and brush your teeth with bottled water.

TransportPublic transport in hong Kong is efficient, easy to use and moderately priced. The major form of public transportation is the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) train network. it serves 53 stations and runs every 2 to 12 minutes from 6am to just after midnight. hong Kong’s cross-harbour ferries are faster and are relatively cheaper than the MTR and local buses.

healthasia Escape holidays advise you to talk to your doctor prior to departure about recommended vaccinations or medication that you may require. if you become ill please seek advice from the hotel you are staying at.

CurrencyThe local currency is the hong Kong Dollar. Money can be changed at licensed currency exchanges, banks and hotels. Major credit cards are widely accepted plus aTMs are also readily available in hong Kong. Some form of identification will be required when cashing in traveller’s cheques.

Electricityhong Kong’s voltage is 220 volts and power plugs and points are three-flat-pin. Some hotels will provide adaptors on request however purchasing your own universal adaptor is recommended.

Brochure: This brochure was released in February 2015 and is valid until further notice. All prices are to be used as a guide only. Please see your Travel Agent for current holiday prices. Booking your Holiday: Please see your preferred Travel Agent to arrange your Asia Escape Holidays holiday package. Your Travel Agent accepts these booking conditions on your behalf. Your Travel Agent will provide you with all the details and costs relating to your travel arrangements. If you are making your travel arrangements directly with Asia Escape Holidays you are accepting these booking conditions in their entirety and constitute agreement between yourself and Asia Escape Holidays. These conditions cannot be varied or any part waived without written consent of Asia Escape Holidays. All components of the travel arrangements are provided by suppliers which operate under standards laid down by local authorities and that we believe to be reputable. Bookings are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of each supplier. Provided your booking has been made in accordance with the deposits and payments conditions set out below your travel documents will be delivered to your travel agent. Prices and Itineraries: Any prices quoted in this brochure are based on the lowest room category in low season based on share twin accommodation and were correct at the time of printing. These prices should be used as a guide only and are subject to change without notice. Prices shown in this brochure do not include airfares. Your Travel Agent will provide the current costs and itinerary details applicable at the time of booking. Bonus inclusions, rooms and bedding configurations are subject to change without notice. Deposits and Payments: To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit is required within 7 days of confirmation of your travel arrangements in accordance with the following general guidelines.Air, hotel, tour, packages: - $165 per personBookings including Cruises: - $365 per person

The above deadlines may vary due to additional conditions imposed by suppliers. Bookings made within 45 days of departure full payment is required within 48 hours of confirmation. Asia Escape Holidays reserves the right to cancel reservations not paid by the due dates.

Late Bookings: Asia Escape Holidays reserves the right to

charge a $30 late booking fee for bookings made within 7 days of departure. A guarantee of payment may also be required prior to arrangements being requested.

Cancellations/Amendments and Refunds: In the event the passenger cancels their booking all deposits paid are non-refundable. Airlines, hotels and tour operators may impose their own cancellation fees. These details will be advised to you by your travel agent in the event of a booking cancellation. No refunds or amendments can be made once travel has begun. First amendments made prior to payment in full will be free of charge. Any further amendments may incur a fee of $55 per change. Amendments after documents have been issued may not be possible or may be subject to fees imposed by airlines, hotels and other suppliers plus an amendment fee imposed by Asia Escape Holidays. Your travel agent will advise of any applicable fees. Flights and passenger details may not be changed once ticketed. Refunds for unused accommodation tours or services may or may not be refunded by Asia Escape Holidays. Travel agents may impose their own fees in addition to those of Asia Escape Holidays.

What’s not included in the price: Passport and visa fees, insurance, phone calls, beverages and meals not detailed in your itinerary, tips, excess baggage and all other items of a person nature. For some of the property facilities a nominal charge will apply.

Travel Insurance: Asia Escape Holidays highly recommends travel insurance for all travellers to Asia. Please seek advice from your Travel Agent regarding the applicable insurance cover.

Passports, Visa and Vaccination: Each person must have a current passport with at least 6 months validity beyond their stay. It is the responsibility of all passengers to ensure they have the applicable visa, passport, health documentation by checking with the applicable embassies or consulates.

Travel Advisories: Issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade are available from your Travel Agent or by visiting www.smartraveller.gov.auThese advisories should be checked regularly prior to your departure.

Baggage: Your baggage allowance is governed by relevant airline/cruise company conditions. Your Travel Agent will provide information relevant to your arrangements.

Any facilities shown as included are subject to change at any time. Every effort is made to ensure the information provided is correct.
