• State-wide high school movement featuring Hines Ward

• Over 2,000 high school student-athletes nominated in 2014-15

• 280 Student-athletes awarded “Most Positive” at 10 regional awards events in 2015-16

• 28 State-wide winners honored at College Football Hall of Fame

• Over $10,000 in college scholarships awarded to winners in 2014-15

• Endorsed by Georgia Vision Project and GA PTA

What is Positive Athlete?

• Who Can Nominate? – Any adult (parents, coaches, teachers, administrators, family members, fans).

• Is There A Cost? – Absolutely NO COST. 100% FREE • Where Do I Nominate? – All nominations are made on the Positive Athlete

Georgia website http://Georgia.positiveathlete.org.

• Nomination Window? – September 15, 2015 – March 15, 2016

• Eligible Athletes? – Any high school boys or girls athlete grades 9-12.

• Which Sports? – 28 Boys and Girls categories, as well as Adaptive, Alternative, and Boys & Girls Coaches

• School Award? – Each region will have a Positive School of the Year.

• Is There a Limit? – There is NO LIMIT to the amount of student athletes that can be nominated by a school

Who Has Participated So Far in 2016?

Over 225 different schools (Public & Private) have sent in nominations!

Schools in over 90 counties have sent in nominations!
