Comprehensive Community Planning Update Oct 9, 2015

Hello everyone, here’s another CCP Update. I have been spending lots of time planning and prepping for

the CCP Launch. The goal of the CCP Launch is to introduce the project to the community and kickstart

the meetings off with a fun community dinner. There will be amazing food, activities and awesome door

prizes. Child-minding will also be available. I really hope to see you all there! It’s nice to get together for

good occasions.

I’m hoping to have an Advisory Committee meeting following the CCP Launch, the date and time are to

be determined.

If you have any questions, concerns or advice for me, please do not be afraid to get a hold of me. I want to

hear what your thoughts are. I want to hear the problems that you see in our community, and I want to

hear your solutions to these problems. No one will go unheard unless they choose to. So I encourage you to

be present at our community meetings and drop by my office whenever you would like to talk. Please

don’t be afraid to get involved with helping your community. I need all the information I can possibly get.

The more information, ideas and solutions that we get, the better our plan will be. Everyone has different

ideas, and everyone thinks differently. So it is very important that we can get as many people involved in

this project as possible.

Food for thought: “A community is only being created when its members accept that they are not going to

achieve great things, that they are not going to be heroes, but simply live each day with new hope, like

children, in wonderment as the sun rises and in thanksgiving as it sets. Community is only being created

when they have recognized that the greatness of man is to accept his insignificance, his human condition

and his earth, and to thank God for having put in a finite body the seeds of eternity which are visible in

small and daily gestures of love and forgiveness. The beauty of man is in the fidelity to the wonder of each

day.” – Jean Vanier, Community and Growth.

Thank you,

Katrina Johnny, CCP Coordinator
