Marcelo Klein, entrepreneur from Argentina, selected by Enablis, an entrepreneurship organization based in Canada, to travel to Montreal as a Guest speaker to tell his startup experience and network.StartupBreakfastClub.com is a monthly networking event where everyone gets to Pitch and receive immediate feedback from other community members - just like them.I’m Marcelo Klein, 32 years and counting, living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. So far I’m a declared: entrepreneur, runner, foodie, professor, life lover, learner, always curious geek.(opt) I Love meeting new cultures, new points of view, new technologies, new flavors, and mixing all of those things together. When I was 4 I started playing with computers, at age 9 I started trying to code but my head wasn’t prepared for that yet. At 11 I wrote my first programs in Logo, Basic and Pascal. That lead me to my first “aha” moments: My parents took my to a new school that was opening a new pre-high-school program, and in the visit I just saw the computer room and was like “OMG!!! I want this!!!” and from that moment I knew I wanted to do computer software to have fun and make things better.[opt] My first customer was my mum, who as a librarian ordered all her books by paper and it was in year 2000 that I created my first software for her library. She was kind of a terrible customer since she never paid a dime, but she was SO thankful :DAs soon as I finished high-school I started working while studying Systems Engineering at the National Technological University. I went through several companies until graduating and majored in Java development, financing software and finally in 2005 landed a job at Hewlett Packard where I spent six years from senior developer to project manager managing relationships with customers in the Colombia, US, UK including ABN Amro Bank and American Airlines. In 2008 something started to change and entrepreneurship wasn’t as marketed as is now, but I started competing in business plan competitions. Finally in 2011 I gathered with former students and my startup life begun. But let’s go to that later ...
