For more than 50 years, ROMRADIATOARE S.A. has been the main Romanian supplier of heat

exchangers for cars, locomotives, trucks, buses and stationary engine groups.

1926 The company is established as a manufacturer of steel cables under the name of „Ancora Romana

- Romanian Anchor‟

1946 Production of radiator begins. (First Romanian company to produce radiators)

1961 Name changed to “The factory of radiators and cables”

1980 The production of steel cables is stopped, focusing only on radiators (cores & metal frames)

1991 Name changed to “ROMRADIATOARE S.A.”

1995 Company returns to its initial form of private property, through a MBO scheme

1997 Serial production of sheet metal parts begins (for Renault Trucks)

2004 A “Metal parts & Welded structures” separate production workshop, producing sub-assemblies

and final products for Pinguelly Haulotte and continuing the Renault production partnership

2008 SIF Transilvania SA, a local private equity fund, becomes the main shareholder and

PLATE & FRAME

Started 2010 ROMRADIATOARE has begun to manufacture plate and frame heat exchangers. The plate heat

exchangers is fixed by numbers of thin and corrugated heat plates hanged between the carrying bar on the

above and the guide bar on the below.

This type of heat exchangers bring maximum effectiveness and efficiency to an array of challenging heat-

exchange applications such as: HVAC, power plant, nuclear, petrochemical and chemical, oil & gas, power

plants, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and many others.

METAL PARTS AND WELDED STRUCTURES

ROMRADIATOARE SA has extensive experience and strong abilities to design and manufacture metal and

welded structures following the automotive industry specific quality standards – ISO TS 16949.

When established, our Metal Parts and Welded Structures Division started off as a production and assembly

workshop for Pinguelly – Haulotte people lifting equipment, thus having from its beginning the ability to

perform various mechanical operations such as: laser cutting and punch press, ABKANT CNC bending, metal

processing, pressing, MIG/MAG/TIG welding etc.)
