230-ATW Ha Long Bay / Vietnam Statical calculations of station and tower foundations - Confirmation Dear Sir or Madam, BauCon ZT GmbH as a Civil Engineering office in Austria has received the contract from Garaventa AG to perform the statical calculations of all towers and stations foundations and concrete structures of Ha Long Aerial Tramway. We have already performed such design works for the projects Kitzbühel, Sölden, Ischgl (all in Austria), Koblenz (Germany), Peak to Peak (Canada), Espui (Spain), Psekhako, Rosa Khutor 1 and 2 (all in Russia, Sochi), Lushan (China), Grindelwald, Kleines Matterhorn (Swiss, predesign) and Lagos (Nigeria, predesign). As the designers we are responsible for the correct design of all the concrete structures which are needed to support the steel structures of the cable car delivered by Garaventa AG. This includes of course, that all different possible load cases and all possible and reasonable load case combinations are considered and calculated. Therefore we can assure and guarantee that all load effects onto the concrete structures of this ropeway at Ha Long, such as loads from the steel structures, ropes, embedded parts, etc. and also from earth pressure, wind, water, snow, ice and earthquake loads are considered and calculated.
