DOWNTOWN GREENSBORO GUIDE
Summer 2014 / 2015
Downtown Greensboro 3
Downtown Greensboro has a mix of events, attractions,
and locally owned businesses that make it appealing to locals and visitors alike. Speciality boutiques, art studios, museums, theaters, retailers and restaurants are a driving force of the community. Downtown Greensboro offers some of the best dining experiences in the area from the best burgers, pizza, to fine 4-star restaurants.
When the sun goes down the streets come alive with a vibrant scene. Local theaters like Triad Stage, Community Theater of Greensboro and the Carolina Theater host plays, operas and even classic movies. Each month visitors are encourged to attend the city’s First Friday Art Walk. First Friday is a self guided tour of the
city’s shops, art galleries, studios, and museums from 6 - 9pm.
Downtown has become the place to live. Residents can choose to live in newly built apartment complexes or within the almost century old buildings above S. Elm and other streets in the city. Several new developements including City View Apartments and Greenway at Fisher Park are currently available, with many more in the works.
Whether it’s taking in a ballgame, watching a performance at one of the theaters, a day at the museum or food and drinks with friends, downtown Greensboro has something for everyone.
