My dear People,

Summer’s gone, and almost half the year.

Where did all the time go?

We keep asking that question all through our

lives, but we don’t really heed the fact that

everyday our clock is running down.

When I was in college, while reading my Bible,

I was so struck by these words, that I

memorized them: “Boast not thyself of to-

morrow, for thou knowest not what a day may

bring forth” (Pro. 27:1, KJV).

Since becoming a pastor, at every funeral

service, I’ve read from Psalm 90, as I led the

procession to the grave. It talks of a day when

God commands that we are to return to the

dust, and of our lives vanishing like cut grass.

We live longer now because of improved

conditions of life and better healthcare. Even

then, the day draws nearer and nearer when

we will have to exit the world.

Most folks are like the man who had big plans

for the future. Only problem was that he did-

n’t take into account that he could be

summoned by God and then all that he had laid

up for the future would go to someone else

(Lk. 12: 16-20). God didn’t address him by his

name. God called him “fool”.

When your end comes, will God call you by your

name or will He call you “fool”? At the end, all

your big plans won’t count. How God addresses

you will be all that matters.

Fasting and prayer on Saturday, 26th. Skip lunch and come fasting to the

sanctuary for prayer from 6 to 7. Fasting and prayer will be held every month on the fourth Saturday.

Greg Poklacki had open heart surgery and is doing well now.

Shoba Prakash had her routine check up and is well.

Supriya Lal recovered from an unexplained illness

Bunny Philip lost the cast for his leg and uses a stick to get around which he hopes to lose soon.

Amrit Modwell has a hairline fracture on a finger. He’s got a job.

Vibha Joshi has a job now

Jerusha Antin went for a Methodist youth camp at Sat Tal Ash-ram. She is joining I T College for a B Sc.

Sana Singh leaving for Bangalore to join the Inst of Hotel Management there.

Nancy & Tedd Lewellen returned from the US of A after getting their daughter married.

Vidini Verma back from a holiday with cousins in Dehra Doon

Luguns returned safely from their holiday in Nainital. Srishti went also to Kathmandu with her grandmother after coming back.

Rufus Raja was home for a week and was able to get physio-therapy for a bad shoulder pain.

Pooja Modwell has come home for some time.

Geetu & Gary here from Beijing and have stomach problems.
