they have is

from January 1st

to January 5th,

nobody has to

Also after

The History of

the Olympics.

-The Olympic

games were

closely linked to

religious festivals

of the cult of Zeus,

but were not an

integral part of rite.

-The first Olympic

Games held only the

event of running. This

event was called the

Stade.

Women were not allowed to

compete in the first Olympics.

Married women were not even

allowed to watch. The men had

to be extremely fit and pretty

young. In the first Olympic

games men did not wear any

clothes when they competed.

FUN FACTSOne of the

oldest Russian

traditions is the

banya, a Russian

type sauna and

even though

this tradition is

several

centuries old

the banya is

popular even

today.

Russians love to

visit each other and

need no special

reason like a

holiday or

birthday to have a

celebration or

party.

Russians never

shake hands over

a door way, they

believe it leads

to arguments.
