got soccerIn the Super Y League, teams earn much more than three points for a win and one point for a tie. Through a landmark partnership with GotSoccer, teams participating in the Super Y League earn GotSoccer national ranking points based on their performance, boosting the ranking and reputation of the team and club on a national scale.

The additional of regular season rewards builds on the 2013 Super Y League North American Finals where, for the first time in league history, the teams participating in the Super Y League North American Finals were able to accumulate GotSoccer ranking points based on their performance in the competition.

GotSoccer ranks more than 40,000 teams throughout North America through a database that tallies nearly one million scores annually. Understanding the importance of the GotSoccer national ranking system, clubs, teams, and players now have the opportunity to utilize the elite platform provided by the Super Y League to continue building their club’s national profile, resulting in increased club, team, and player exposure.

In response to the feedback that has been received and in order provide the best foundation for clubs to develop players, the Super Y League is excited to announce the addition of the U-10 and U-11 divisions in the 2015 season. By involving players even earlier in the process, it allows them to receive the exposure to the level of competition that is present in the league, while still providing the proper environment for them to improve as players. The synergy of these two elements will provide a smoother transition into the advanced levels of the Super Y League, as teams compete in the North American Finals.

The players will develop even faster with the nutrition, mental condition, and personal growth education provided by Super Y League partners, IMG Academy, and club coaches will benefit from the added technical and tactical information provided by our National Technical Director.

The Super Y League provides elite clubs with the elite competition they need. To allow clubs to focus more on the development of players and less on league administration, our professional staff will assist with the scheduling of matches and will work to uphold the minimum standards that separate the Super Y League from other organizations and maintain the integrity of the league.

Taking place from the end of May through the beginning of August, the league provides clubs with a regionalized divisional structure that maximizes matches but minimizes travel. During the scheduling process, our staff will travel to a proximal location within your established division to have an in-person divisional meeting.

The Super Y League ID Player Tracking ensures that the top players in the league are identified, recognized, and publicized in order to benefit both themselves and the club. Recognition is earned by the players and acknowledged by Super Y League coaches. Players are identified based on their production on the field of play, not in a camp setting performing drills. Each week, our staff compiles a list of these elite players and provides that list to member clubs. Players that are consistently identified will have the opportunity to participate as members of the Super Y League ODP camp.

The combination of high-level coaches working with high-level players at a high-level facility makes for a truly unique experience for all involved. “The 2014 IMG College Showcase tournaments had an extra layer of excitement. Through our continued partnership with the Super Y League, we added 12 boys teams and 12 girls teams to an already quality field. The added dimension of ODP players not only raised the level of competition, but also provided just another reason for college coaches to come to IMG Academy to scout the best talent in Florida, and around the country.”

The North American Finals is the pinnacle moment of competition and player scouting in the Super Y League season and is hosted at IMG Academy’s world-class facilities, which also play host to MLS teams, the USL PRO Combine, and teams from the international level. Standout performances by clubs and players have the potential to create opportunities to play college soccer and to translate into ODP nominations.

“The moment we lifted that beautiful trophy, to see the smiles on our kids’ faces and the memories we created, was priceless. All the hard work we put into the Super Y League in the mid-Atlantic division against tough competition paid off. Coming down to play at the North American Finals, at the world class IMG facilities with more college coaches than I have ever seen at a tournament, is why the ASA Blackhawks as an organization do what we do. The kids experienced a professional environment and created opportunities for their futures. We know it won’t be easy, but we will work hard to try and book our ticket back to Bradenton for the 3rd straight year and represent ASA.” - Michael Arandia, U16 Real Maryland Coach
