11th Annual
March 28, 2014
Dear 2014 SEME Participants,
We are delighted to welcome you to the 11th Annual Sports Events Marketing Experience (SEME).
We are at a critical juncture in the sports industry today, and we feel the role of SEME has never been more valuable for new professionals looking to break into the sports industry. We have been fortunate over the past eleven years to have such an inspiring commitment from our hundreds of executives and sports industry professionals that reside all over the world who take time to serve as speakers and panelists each year.
We have gathered together the industry’s most accomplished executives and enthusiastic personal-ities to offer you an insider’s perspective to this job market and to help you understand and answer the ultimate question, “What Makes Me Marketable?” We are excited that so many of you traveled cross-country to this unique event to experience, listen, and learn from the best.
In the spirit of an interactive learning environment, we have encouraged the presenters to challenge you with real world questions and experiences. Panel discussions, interactive workshops, and break-out sessions will allow you unique one-on-one access to the decision makers of your choice.
We invite each participant to play an active role in the experience by engaging with our panelists by asking thought-provoking questions and by taking advantage of the professional and social networking opportunities planned for you throughout the next two days. This experience should not only enlighten and inspire, but also offer insight into new career opportunities.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge the efforts of the Sports Entrepreneurship Association (SEA) students that were instrumental in implementing this educational initiative. Their insight, creativity and long hours helped to make this event possible. We also wish to thank our sponsors, educational advi-sory board and speakers, who provided leadership and direction to our team of future industry leaders
Enjoy the experience!.

Events DC is the face of conventions, sports, entertainment and cultural events within our nation’s capital. As the official convention and sports authority for the District of Columbia, Events DC leverages the beauty, history and diversity of the most powerful city in the world to attract and promote an ex-tensive variety of events, resulting in amazing experiences for residents and visitors alike, and generating economic and community benefits for the city. Our success comes by focusing on divisions that reflect three lines of business: Conventions and Meetings, Sports and En-tertainment, and Special Events, where we make a range of strategic investments in the region’s marquee sports, enter-tainment and cultural properties. Each division is driven by the desire to bring stellar events to Washington, DC by pro-viding superior customer service to our clients and visitors.

Founded in 1999, TeamWork Online is an online sports and live events job match-making engine that connects 2.2 mil-lion applicants with the right jobs and 750+ employers with the right candidates, 93% of the time in the last year.
We provide an online job application process that networks the employment pages of our member employers. We pro-mote professional “Teammate” networking events and we host an online professional networking registry. We offer premium, insider tools, called “MVP Access” to enhance candidate applications and improve an applicant’s success rate in getting a new job in sports or live events.
Since that time, TeamWork Online provides employers a tal-ent management network, the best and most qualified can-didates interested in sports and live event jobs.
