EXPERIENCE: Technical Diagnostic Services Ortonville Pump Station / Enbridge Pipeline 6/14 to Mechanical Commissioning Lead 10/14 Commissioning of three Sulzer 16,204 G.P.M. pumps driven by Toshiba 5,750 H.P. motors. Verified all piping as well as torque on all flange bolts and flange alignments at facility. Verified function of all motor operated valves as well as valve alignments. Verified completion of all documentation for turnover to operations. Black & Veatch Port Westward 2 Project 3/14 to Mechanical Commissioning Lead 6/14 Commissioning support for twelve 25,700 H.P. Wartsila gas fired engines each driving their own generators providing a total of 220 megawatts. Commissioning support of all auxiliary equipment including cooling systems which consist of plate exchangers and a dual fan cooling tower as well as chemical injection systems. Bluewater Energy WE Energies Rothschild Biomass Cogeneration Facility Rothschild, Wisconsin 4/13 to Startup Operator 2/14 Commissioning support for a Metso Biomass fired Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) Boiler. Design conditions are 550,000 lb/hr steam flow at 1550 psig / 950 deg F. The Boiler provides steam to a GE Nuovo Pignone SAC 1-15 turbine, driving a Bush 55Mw generator also providing 250 kpph extraction to Process. Commissioning support for a Cleaver Brooks natural gas fired boiler. Design conditions are 250,000 lb/hr steam flow at 300 psig / 600 deg F. The boiler is for providing process steam. Supporting of Operations as well as Contractors, Crafts and Vendors working with Bluewater. Shaw Constructors, Inc. Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center, St. Paul, Virginia 03/12 to Commissioning Engineer 03/13 Commissioning support for two (2) Foster Wheeler 330 Mw Coal / Wood fired Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) Boilers. Design conditions are 2142 k lb/hr steam flow at 2500 psig / 1055 deg F, with re-heat at 602 psig / 1055 deg F. Limestone Injection, Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction, Electrostatic Precipitators, CFB-type Scrubbers and Pulse-Jet Fabric Filters are used to control emissions. Perform system checkouts, instrument verification. Complete commissioning of the Wood Handling and Feed Systems. Commissioning support of the Coal Stack-out and Reclaim Systems. Identify discrepancies and areas of potential concern. Support Operations as well as Contractors, Crafts and Vendors working with Shaw. 01/06 to Cedar Bay Generating Company LP, Jacksonville, Florida 02/12 Power Plant Operator Operation of this 290 Mw co-generation plant including three (3) Pyropower 800 k lb/hr Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) boilers with one (1) Toshiba tandem compound, reheat steam turbine-generator. The turbine included a 380 k lb/hr HP extraction steam-to-process and full flow (turbine) bypass / main steam-to-process systems. Limestone and ammonia injection along with fabric filter systems are used to control emissions. Directed Operations activities. Coordinated Lock Out/Tag Out of unit/auxiliary systems. Provided training and guidance to newly promoted employees and new hires. Perform system line-ups, startup, shutdown, Lockout/Tagout, electrical and mechanical inspections, troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment. Investigate and report anomalies, take corrective action to maintain efficient equipment operation. Monitor steam / water quality and adjust chemistry as required. Support Water Treatment Department. Identify and address safety hazards. Read and record gauge and meter readings.
